Finally enjoying the yard without flea bites or mosquito swarms
We have a 45-lb dog who thinks the backyard is his kingdomâand who used to bring every flea in North Carolina inside with him. I spread one 8-lb bag of Cedarcide granules around the fence line, under the deck, and along our patio steps (took maybe 20 minutes with a handheld broadcast spreader). The cedar scent was strong at firstâthink freshly sharpened pencilsâbut mellowed to a light, woodsy smell by the next afternoon.Two weeks later the difference is obvious: no more scratching dog, zero flea bites on our ankles, and evening grill sessions are actually mosquito-free. I like that I can let our three-month-old roll around on a blanket without worrying about chemical residue, and the granules havenât bothered the new grass seed I put down this spring.Small quirk: the bag doesnât reseal, so if youâre only using part of it, have a zip-top or bucket ready. Also, apply on a calm dayâthe fine dust can blow around if itâs windy.All in, this stuff does exactly what it claimsânatural, pet-safe pest control that actually works. Iâm already planning to re-apply every couple of months through the summer to keep the yard bite-free.

We sprinkle this around the perimeter of our house in the front yard to deter bugs, works beautifully, no ants this year and hopefully scorpions stay away (knock on wood). Smells great. We have needed 2 bags over the course of several months so it lasts a long time. Easy to just open the bag and pour.

Good, but not great
Smells very nice! Seemed to tame some of the pests, but it’s no pesticide. If you are having a party and you wanted less bugs around, this is good, but it didnt last as long as it said. Its better than nothing, but it also isnt going to solve any pest issues

Poof! No Mosquitos! (but no fireflies either!)
2 days after sprinkling it in the Ivy,mosquitos disappeared. No more bites!After I had ordered, I was told it wouldnot work once mosquitos were established,that you had to also use it with a spray -which I didn’t want to do, so planned to returnit.Fortunately, I went on and tried it without the spray.(Maybe the mosquitos had not established yet)We are happy it works, and will apply it everyfew weeks through the height of mosquito season.

Disappointed
It smells great and my hopes were high, but it did not help with our mosquito problem at all. I used a little and scattered it around with no noticeable results, so I tried using the entire bag and still, we were constantly attacked by mosquitoes. I live in Hawaiʻi, my property is just a little over 5,000 sq ft, if it really worked, it should have worked, but unfortunately it did not. I initially put the order on subscription, but had to cancel. Very disappointed.

It really works
This really works! We saw immediate results when we weren’t attacked by a million gnats and black flies. It repels bugs immediately and even after getting 5 inches of rain overnight it’s still working. Our GSD couldn’t lay in the grass and enjoy the outdoors without being attacked by bugs. Now he lays in the sunshine and naps. I am so happy we tried this and will continue to use. We’ve already recommended it to several people, showing them what it looks like and how it smells. Finally found a product that solves the problem and it’s not toxic to us or our fur babies
