donât waste your time on these
I usually buy the yellow trap. Because this had a quicker delivery, I made the mistake of ordering these. They do not work. Donât even waste your time hanging them. Each bag caught a few flies not the usual yellow bag, which catches a full bag in a matter of days

Effective smelly bait for filth flies but catch-22
We are rural but don’t really get flies and enjoy our property all through the year – until it starts to turn cold in the fall. Then the filth flies come in droves to our property from seemingly miles around. The air stays still and warm under our patio cover and the flies roost under there in the hopes of not yet freezing to death as they inevitably will.Meanwhile I put these bait bags out in the hopes of reducing the number of flies trying to get into the house from the patio. These bags start catching in a day or two and are quickly stuffed full of dead flies so I go through quite a lot of them.These bags do help a lot but I also think they’re a catch-22 – if I put them under the patio roof where they will do the most good, they also seem to attract more flies to that area. If the flies weren’t more strongly attracted to the warmth under the patio roof than the bait, I would definitely locate the bags further away from the house.Next year I’m going to try releasing fly predators to see if I can reduce the population. I have a feeling they are flying in and not breeding in my area, but we’ll see.

This product definitely works. Only complaint is the smell of all the dead flies. I thought there was a dead animal under my deck until I went over near the Fly catcher bag. Then I was like oh. I just placed it further away from my deck for now. Definitely a good product for catch flies.

The bait needs to be INSIDE the trap!
The bait bags that are designed to release the bait only when the water is added were all burst open upon arrival. It was a horrible mess which resulted in less bait inside the trap and overall reduced effectiveness of the trap.

After a slow start, works great!
Started off slow catching the flies. After 2 days hanging outside bag had a bunch of flies in it. Love how the cap can be screwed shut to dispose of the flies once full. Love that it comes with a tie to hang it with. Will be buying again.

Did not smell
Did not work! Didnât have any smell to them at all. I put 2 up trying to attract flies from my sheep barn and not a single fly in them after 2 days.
