Helps older cat groom herself and relax…
This product works really well for my 13-year-old cat. It helps her so much with her grooming, old age greasy coat, and gets rid of her dander. Most importantly she loves it. I appreciate the long lasting steam, fur release button, and easy and consistent charging. I bought a cheaper version (RUOPAN Steamy Cat Brush – 3 In1…) that pales in comparison. Spend the extra $$.

Excellent steam brush
The rubber tip wire brush gets the fur. The steam leaves the fur soft.

The soothing mist helps make brushing a relaxing experience for your pet.
This Y-jiayol brand steam brush works wonders on my pets for daily grooming, massage, and removing shedding hair. During shedding season, it helps reduce shedding hair and prevents hairballs. The water mist helps prevent static electricity and flying fur, making it easier to remove hair and dirt while keeping their coats shiny and healthy. The soothing mist also helps to calm them down. The brush also has a one-click hair removal button. Once you are finished brushing your pet, just press the button, and the hair separates from the metal pins for easy cleaning. The sturdy metal pins are skin-friendly, as they are curved, and resin-coated, to prevent any damage to their skin. The brushâs metal pins gently comb the undercoat and provide a relaxing massage, making it perfect for grooming, especially for sensitive skin.

My cat doesn’t shed too bad but does have a type of fur (over coat) that is hard to clean up. I’ve used silicone brushes/grooming gloves that don’t work as well as advertised and that she doesn’t like. I was intrigued by the idea of a brush incorporating steam. She’s usually okay with traditional brushes and combs but is less so now that she is older and skinny/boney due to health issues. She really likes this brush. The tips are coated for comfort which and her comfort is a concern due to her weight. She sat longer than she has in a long time allowing me to brush her. She even stretched out contently and allowed me to access her belly.I associate steam with heat so I was initially surprised that the steam was cold but my cat didn’t seem to mind. It collected a good amount after first brushing and even was able to work out a few small knots around her neck. Don’t think it would work well on more matted fur (had a longer haired cat prone to matting), but good for regular grooming to help prevent mats. There is a button that you press afterwards that pushes the collected fur out for easier disposal. I will say that it did make her fur feel a tiny bit wet in certain spots, not wet, wet mind you, but definitely a little damp; you could feel it if you pet her, but she didn’t seem to mind and was dry again soon enough. I wouldn’t want to let her outside until I was certain she was completely dry.Easy to fill with water, just remove the little yellow triangular tab. Doesn’t hold a lot of water, but doesn’t need much water. Come with USB charging cable for easy charging, no batteries.

I live with a cat that has medium length hair and is getting up there at age. Her name is Kara and I’ve included a photo of her so you can see what her hair looks like on a normal basis. I got the yellow and orange colored brush and find it looks a lot like a chicken so Kara and I call it the chicken brush.Kara absolutely loves getting her hair brushed before bed at night. Now that she’s getting older I make a point to do night time brushing because she’s starting to get a few matts as she gets older and has a harder time taking care of that stuff. We started out with just a regular comb and she thought that was just great. We recently discovered steam brushes. These types of brushes are a godsend for cats like Kara that have medium length hair and live in an old house that becomes very dry in the winter. Needless to say she becomes a little static ball and even though I have multiple humidifiers going her hair still ends up being a pain in her butt. Now she has a brush that will directly put water onto her hair and it works just great for keeping down the static. This is our second steam brush and is by far our favorite. The brush is rather simple in design and I think that’s part of why we like it better than the other one we have. It’s small and fits into my hand great and so there’s no extra parts kicking around in the way or anything like that. It just rests in the palm of my hand nicely. All of the necessary buttons are on the top of the brush so it is very easy to maneuver even while brushing your feline buddy. I find that I will turn the steam on and off a few times usually while brushing her. As I get closer to her face I turn this thing off so that it doesn’t get in her face and bug her. The amount of steam that comes out is a surprising amount for a little thing like this but uses very very little water. The water compartment doesn’t really hold a lot but I can go at least a few nights before I need to refill it. That’s how little water it actually uses. The button in the middle is used to raise the mechanism that gets the hair out of the brush. I find that to be a great feature. That way you’re less likely to damage any bristles while cleaning the brush which has been a problem with some brushes I’ve had before that have the little metal bristles like these ones. The bristles are covered in plastic at the top so they don’t scratch but they still managed to get the hair out nicely. For charging the brush there is a USB C port on one end and comes with a cord. I’ve only charged it once and that was just when I first got it just to make sure it was fully charged. I will have to wait for the brush to use up all its power to give it a full test of how long it takes to actually fully charge. That might be a bit though because the power seems to be lasting quite a while in this brush. I’ve been using it almost nightly for about 15 minutes for a couple weeks now and it’s still going strong.Karaâs hair is far more manageable and she’s not a walking static ball since we started using the steam brushes. That makes us both very happy because now I can pet her and not need to worry about shocking us . She’s always loved brushing time but now every night as soon as she hears me head to the bathroom to brush my teeth she comes running yelling so that I don’t forget to brush before bed.So at the end of the day we are incredibly happy with this brush and give it 5/5 stars or 4/4 toe beans in Karaâs case. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a cat that gets staticy in the winter, and also any cats that may have problems with matting. As far as Kara is concerned every house needs a chicken brush.
