This cat pill shooter comes with two silicone soft tips. One of the tips has cracks, so the tip can be opened to clamp the pill. (don’t use the cracks to clamp pills, please use the 2 sides of the silicone tip to clamp pills). Another tip has no cracks and can be used for feeding water or liquid medicine. (If the crack is not large enough to clamp the pill, you can use scissors to enlarge the crack. The tip for liquid feeding can also be cut cracks to feed the pill.) This product does not have a spring device, so the pill will not pop out quickly, but will be pushed out.
Made of high quality silica gel, reusable and washable. Product size: 5.9×1.97inches. Product weight: 1.06 ounce. Especially for feeding solid medicines, pills, capsules to pets. (It’s suitable for size of pill between 0.15-0.4 inches.)
NOTE: 1.The soft tip must be completely sleeved on the top, ensure that it will not fall off during normal use. 2.Ensure that the tip and injection tube are in the same straight line, so that the push rod can smoothly impact on pill and push it out. 3.Do not stick the soft tips into pet’s throat to prevent the tips from getting stuck in the throat. The correct use is to put the soft tip to the posterior position of tongue, then use the push rod to push out the pill and let the pet swallow it by himself. 4.Do not stuff the pill tightly into the soft tip, avoiding the pill not being able to be pushed out or the soft tip falling off with the pill. Gently clamping it is correct.
NOTE: Please make sure to check all accessories and installation before use. Please try using it before use to ensure it works properly without any fault.
Due to aging or wear of plastic and silicone parts over time, please replace them with new ones after 1 month of use.

Customers say

Customers find the pill shooter easy to use and appreciate its functionality, though some report it doesn’t work for their pets. The device receives mixed feedback about its size, with many noting that the smallest pill is too large to fit in the syringe. Moreover, customers report issues with pills falling out and getting stuck in the rubber end, and the silicone tip tearing immediately. Additionally, the product’s durability is concerning as the plastic tips break after a couple of days, and customers consider it a waste of money.

It works, but it depends on your cat always!
In having to for the first time as a daily routine, give a cat medication it’s very dependent on the cat and does require a lot of experience or an abundance of YouTube tutorials, especially when you’re dealing with a sick animal you don’t want to stress it anymore than it already is, I am not a professional veterinary technician, or anything like that, but for 20 days straight I just got through taking care of a beloved animal, along with a product like this if there’s any stress on the animal immediately have a veterinary technician simply do it for you and help you to learn as it takes effort, and some basic knowledge. for most animal lovers it’s whatever the cost and vets are usually very willing to help with these things. My specific issue was swollen lymph nodes so the cat already did not want to eat or drink, you have to get it “the pill“ at least 2/3 past the tongue basically down the throat that’s why it is called a pill gun, it’s why it has suction and literally shoots the pill because if you simply try to put one in by hand, the cat will spit it out somewhere and quickly learns to spit it out when you are not looking. Anyways, my point if your animal actually needs medication it’s usually not a good scenario and you don’t want your animal under any more stress than it already is so a device like this is extremely handy, and it becomes habit and routine for the animal very quickly once it’s learned how to use properly, I thought YouTube tutorials would be enough but one person is not enough unless they are a expert technician. One thing I am positive of the faster the better and quick and easy and painless so there’s no stress or discomfort to the animal in question- so all the YouTube tutorials you can watch and Most are making it look like it’s really easy and it is not! 100% have a professional technician help you a few times whether you bring your cat to the vet or they come to you, it’s a service most that’s offer and for the love of your animals absolutely necessary to do it properly. The product works wonderful, there’s some more sleek designs that are a little more appropriate as the less the animal sees the less it is prone to be weary of what’s in front of it, kind of like seeing a large needle as opposed to a very small needle for a human. But like I said it works and it’s just a tool, so it needs to be used properly and assuming you love your animal and you’re buying this for that reason 100% if it does not go smoothly the first time, talk to your veterinary office immediately for assistance, then it quickly becomes a routine. For the price and the fact that it works overall it’s a decent product, you can’t put a price tag on taking care of your animal properly but also unless your animal requires medication daily for the rest of his life, you do not need a professional grade pill shooter, so if something like this works just fine short term. It’s a tool that works and if you’re new to this kind of task like I said it becomes routine but have a professional to assist you and teach you for your animal. It works as advertised, cleaning is not a problem. And if your animal requires medication on a daily basis, I’m sure you have already spoken with your vet and have a solid routine down but for short term care this is perfect.:) a further note as time is usually a factor make sure it can be delivered immediately, I needed it quickly and thank you Amazon for getting this to me next day as I need it-

    Mostly Useless
I got this to try and make giving my cat his doxycycline pill easier as it can have a bitter taste if it sticks around the mouth too long and can be caustic on the throat. Idea was to fill the syringe portion with water, load the pill in the silicone tip, and push the pill followed by a drink of water to wash it down.First problem is, the tip can’t meaningfully hold any pills. The doxy tablet was a bit large, which is fair enough, but the dose was a half tablet so no big deal. Except the half tablet also doesn’t fit. Nor does a smaller antibiotic he’s also been ordered. Trying to load just the small pill ended up with the silicone tip tearing immediately, so it’s not even especially durable. Upon trying to just make do, it actually failed to even push the pill because the plunger has a pointed tip, so it just shoved the pill aside. The advertising of this as a pill shooter is fantasy at best and willfully false at worst. The only thing this might be useful for is giving liquids, but at that point save yourself some cash and just order normal syringes—they hold the liquid better, are gonna be accurate for dosing, and you’ll have multiple for less than the price of this thing. And if you or someone you know is in healthcare at all you can probably just get one for free, even.

Easy to use, pill delivery tool
My cat has scary sharp teeth and she wouldn’t be tricked into taking a pet pill pocket.I didnt dare stick my fingers in her mouth, feeding her a pill she hates. This simple, light weight, plastic delivery system, solved my fearful problem and she feels better.Shes doesn’t like this pill delivery system any better than my fingers, but she’s getting used to the daily routine.I’m so happy to have found this, easy to use, pill shooter👍🏻

Good pill gun for smaller pills
One of my cats is difficult to pill and has to have one small pill every day. Most pill guns seem to be made for larger pills, but this one is the right size. I had bought this same pill gun a couple of years ago or so, and on the older version one of the two tips had a slit so it could also be used with capsules. I wanted that because sometimes the pharmacy gives capsules, sometimes pills. This time when I bought it, neither of the two tips has a slit, which means capsules just get stuck. It does work great as long as I have pills though, so I am now sure to specify that I will only accept pills from the pharmacy. So as long as you’re looking to use this with relatively small pills, you will like this pill gun, it definitely gets the job done.

tired of having my fingers chewed up and skeptical of pillers from previous experience, I decided to give it another chance.backstory -my 14 y/o kitty is on a 10-day round of antibiotics after being diagnosed with CKD. the first four days he was fooled into eating his pill with wet food. the next three days were traumatizing for both kitty and me lol. no matter what I tried, he would spit up his pill until somehow I managed to give it to him.item review -the pill gun comes with two silicone tips, one is meant to have a slit to hold pills but mine are identical with no slits. not a big deal, it worked for my cat’s antibiotic pill (zeniquin 25mg). the plunger was smooth and did not get stuck at all.one important thing to note is that the silicone tip needs to be applied correctly – check the product images and be sure to roll it up past the plastic lip, it could be a choking hazard otherwise.all in all, it was a cheap solution to a big problem and now kitty and I are happy! we’re waiting for him to finish his antibiotics and then it’s time for more tests. if he is prescribed more pills I might update my review to reflect my experience.

I got this to administer pills to my dog. However it doesn’t push out the pill properly! Tried using both tips and it’s not working as intended.

Absolutely terrible design. Zero stars.Firstly, both the included silicone heads were identical (for liquids) and did not have a slit to hold a pill.I cut a slit, but the plunger is only long enough for a very small cat or toy sized dog, otherwise, the pill will fall short at their tongue — and they then spit it out.The actual green plunger with rubber gasket does not slide smoothly, so you don’t get a quick pushing action at all. I tried wetting it, and even adding pet-safe fish oil to it in homes it would slide quickly, but nope.Lastly, the entire device is hard plastic that you’re inserting into your pets mouth, only the very tip is silicone.Horribly designed product and function all around. Would not recommend.
