A: Sliding doors are easy to install and are secured in place with slots, making them difficult for cats to pull off once installed. If the sliding door does not move smoothly, this may occur during the initial period of use, usually because new parts need a short “break-in period.” Please do not worry, as this issue is usually easy to resolve！

You can try the following simple and effective methods:

1. Lubrication method: You can use a regular white candle to apply wax to the sliding door tracks several times, ensuring the wax particles are evenly distributed along the tracks. Then repeatedly open and close the sliding door about ten times. The wax will form a perfect solid lubricant, providing excellent results and is safe and non-toxic.

(Alternative option: If you don’t have a candle at home, you can apply a very small amount of food-grade silicone grease. Vaseline can also be used as an alternative, but be sure to use only a small amount to avoid attracting dust.)

2. Check installation: Ensure the sliding door is fully seated in the track and not installed upside down. You can refer to our installation video to ensure proper installation.

3. Remove burrs: If you feel a particular point is especially stuck, use a flashlight to inspect the track for any protruding burrs. If present, gently sand them down with fine sandpaper or another convenient tool.
