It immobilizes your cat
Of course most cats arenât as willing to let you put them in this like the video shows. So it was a small fight but I was able to get my cats in it and didnât even have to hang them to cut their nails because the harness immobilized them. Yay!

Works if you have a calm cat
I got this to help me trim my catâs nails. Sheâs very tolerant, but is a wiggle worm and has a tendency to retract her claws when I try to cut them, and I always say I need an extra person or an extra hand to trim her nails, one to hold, one to clip, and one to gently squeeze her paw so the nails pop out.Getting her into this was the most difficult part. My girl is a rescue and sheâs very skinny. This might fit better on a larger cat, but this definitely had some wiggle room for her. She also is able to squirm her way out of it. I had to put her in three times before I got her secure, and the hammock ended up backwards on her.Once your cat is in it, be careful not to put them near something they can use to push against, like a wall, because it gives them leverage to escape. I also think if my cat was more determined she could have easily gotten out each time, so know your cat. She didnât love it, but also never experienced and pain and did not seem fearful. She seemed comfortable, but confused and resistant.This also was somewhat difficult to suspend in the air because I had to support her, wrap the clip around the shower rod, then reclip, while also holding her up and keeping her level. I wish it had hooks or something to make attaching it a little easier. I felt like she was less safe in those moments.The material is very soft and I like that it sticks to itself instead of needing Velcro that would pull on her hair. It does become more difficult to stick once it gets loose cat hair on it (which Iâm sure is why it comes with a lint brush). It is well sewn and sturdy.All said, once I got her rigged up, it took me approximately 20 seconds to cut all of her nails on all four paws. Sometimes I spent over 30 minutes and donât even get all the claws, so this absolutely makes trimming easier and worked very well for my purpose. I will continue to use it and hopefully she will become more amenable to it over time.

Totally Worth it
Worked perfectly. The fit was perfect. I havenât used it to hang my 2 year old cat to do her nails but I just wrap her in it and she lays down. No problem what so ever. Heck, I even used it on my 5 month old chihuahua puppy and I was able to clip her nails too with no problem. Definitely worth the money.

Great Concept
Our cat is a squirmy one when it comes to nail trimming time, we got this in hopes to help reduce claw damage for everyone (she typically digs her nails into one of us while being held while the other spouse attempts to clip her nails, even if the trim takes only three minutes to do and even if she gets a treats for as compensation for her time). This hammock does indeed essentially suspend her in a sling, which prevents her from digging her nails into either of us. Naturally, she hated the entire duration and tried to tail whip the both of us as she looked for her escape, but its to be expected since she doesn’t care for trimmings in general. Rather than digging though, she now uses us as a grounding for her to stand on if our hands are in standing range (perhaps we found something she dislikes more than nail trimmings?) and she would wriggle every so often if she felt she had enough stability to do such while standing on our hands (we had to stop and hold her still a few times because she was squirming like a fish at one point). The hammock is something shes going to need to be accustomed to, (I wish she was as chill as the cat in the video example) but because it does stop her from digging into us, it technically does what we had hoped for so it works.

Not useful
Not great for temperamental cats. Also, very complicated to put on even with the video. When I was able to put it on I was too afraid to hang it up for fear of choking my cat. Not very helpful or easy for what I need it for. I do like the material tho.

Handy dog/cat grooming hammock
Advertised as a cat grooming hammock, but I actually use it for a couple of small dogs that I groom. They hate having their feet touched, so this really helps me do their nails and trim the hair on their feet. Easy to hook up and put on the dog. Fabric is nice and stitching is sturdy. Straps are strong and I have no fear that they’ll give out. Perfect size for up to about a 10 pound dog, for sure, and cat’s, of course. Good value, as it will be able to be used for many years to come.

My Houdini cat escaped
First, the cat sling is very well made, and very well thought out. Unfortunately my 9 lb cat must have Houdini blood in her because no matter how we tried to secure her, she was able to work her way out. Even while hanging. My 14 lb cat is a blob, and wouldn’t move if a tornado hit him. But he keeps his nails trimmed himself, so I have no need to put him through this embarrassment. Overall, it is a very nice setup and I only removed one star because I felt the sizing maybe slightly off. I got a size that should fit my 9 lb cat, but I felt it was too big for her. I’m not sure if I was sent the wrong size or if that’s just the way it’s designed. The material is very soft, and I feel that the price is reasonable for what I received. No photos, neither cat was cooperating.

Doesnât come with arm, but still good quality and value!
This is great! No loud velcro the fabric functions as velcro. It sticks to itself and it is secure! It fits all my cats which range in size from 8lbs-15lbs. My cats appear comfortable and supported. It was hard to figure out at first, but once I did it was easy and convenient to use. It didnât cause stress to my cat to put on. Great value and will get lots of use out of it because it feels like good quality! Be aware it doesnât come with the arm!
