Works as a perfect replacement for Chewy’s Frisco 48-in Faux Fur Cat Tree & Condo
I have a Frisco 48-in Faux Fur Cat Tree & Condo from Chewy that my cats love and absolutely shredded one of the scratch poles until it snapped in half (as intended). Unfortunately, Chewy does not sell a replacement for the 19.7 in (500 mm) pole pictured at the bottom left. Luckily, this item was a perfect replacement and fit super snugly. The socket head bolts that came with the original cat tree fit perfectly into this replacement. It does not come with its own bolts so make sure to save any of the current ones you already have! I will definitely be buying more of this as needed.

This scratching post only lasted our cat for 2 weeks intact. Had already ordered two more before he had totally destroyed it. After he destroys these other two, I will not order another from this brand,

Great 20″ M10 Replacement Post for Cat Tree
We bought a large combo cat tree / cat condo from another site about two years ago, and our two cats have scratched and worn through one of the legs. It is scratched through nearly all the way around, resulting in a wobbly cat tree.This 20″ long piece is a perfect drop-in replacement for the damaged leg. The two ends have M10 (metric threads, 10 mm diameter) threaded nutplates on either side, and the existing M10 bolt and stud from the original part were a direct fit. It also comes with one M10 stud, if you do not have the original parts. (You can also get these from any local hardware store)

Just bought the hardware
Just bought the hardware at Ace. The posts took 3/8 inch by 16 thread. Two inch length worked well for me. The head was a round head, but they worked well to replace the worn out posts on my PetSmart standalone scratching posts. 4 bolts, and 2 washers cost $9.22. They came with a nice carpet covered cap to finish them off. Wish I had found these replacement posts years ago!

BEWARE: This post does not come with a bolt to screw it into place, and the bolt attached to the old post cannot be removed and used with the new post. I needed a 20 inch pole and this is all I could find, but it came without bolts.Trying to buy the right sized bolts is nearly impossible as screw and bolt size are not part of the information. It should not be necessary (and is wasteful) to buy a whole new set-up because replacement lack pieces and/or information. The bolts size should be mentioned in each of these cat scratch post descriptions that are sold on Amazon.

This is a great sturdy, durable product that is easy to assemble however, I gave it 3/5 stars because it did not fit our cat tree. It was too big and did not screw in properly.

Pictures look gray in color. It’s actually brown and does not match my gray cat craft tree. Only I care about this though, cat doesn’t care and he loves it. Oh well. Just wish it was the same color as the picture!
