A bit stiff. Retractable part works well. Seems good quality.
I was initially hesitant about this product, but I am pretty happy with it.I was worried how well the retractable bristles part would work – and while I found you do need to bang it on the trash can a little bit, it does work well. Very impressive that not a single hair is left. It’s really convenient not having to pick the fur out.I found the bristles to be a little rough on our (very) elderly cat, but as long as I was gentle it was fine. A lot of cats probably would like it though. Ours like to rub their head on it. It also worked great on our dog, an older labrador with thicker fur.I do wish the bristles were a little less stiff. I feel like it would be better with a little more flex, but this does work fine.The button is pretty easy to push, maybe medium. I could see smaller hands having issues but it’s not terribly hard.Overall, considering the price and the additional flea comb I feel this is a good purchase. I would recommend.

Our cats like it!
I ordered this pet brush with flea comb for in-home use. One of our cats is about the furriest creature I’ve ever encountered, and the brush works really well for her because when the brush fills up, I can push the fur forward with the little button to make the fur much easier to remove from the tines. The handle and mechanical parts all seem to be plastic; the flea comb is just as tightly tined as my other flea combs. All pieces work well so far. This is a nice, adequate set, but doesn’t have anything special that sets it apart from any others.

I like that this came with a comb. You can never have too many pet combs especially people like me who keep losing them. I do like these type of pet brushes because of the simple removal of the hair from the brush. The only complaints I have regarding these type of brushes is that the tines will end up bending or breaking which will possibly hurt your pet because it doesn’t have the white dot protecting the top. Plus, once the times do break off or bend, it keeps the hair release from working properly. Until it does break down, it is a good and easy product to use. It makes combing the hair on my pets that much easier simply because of the hair release button. For now, knowing what I know, I would still recommend this product.

this set included a cat brush and a flea comb. both are nice. the brush has a release button on the brush head to de-hair the brush. my tom cat wasnt a big fan but hesnot used to the finer things in life yet. we ve just convinced him to become an inside cat lol but our female cat who is scared to beyond our porch loved it. she would raise her chin up and want to be brushed. you dont relaize how much cat hair and dander they really have until you brush one lol

Great for cats or dogs!
This item is very convenient to use for fur on cats or dogs. It has a push button that releases the fur for perfect cleaning every time. It does not come with the comb pictured on the page, though. It does come with a flea comb, which is a great item to have, so I will not remove a star for that. However, they do need to change the picture on the page to avoid confusion. The price is reasonable.
