EZ, FITS, DURABLE & WORKS!!
AMAZING!! Those HUGE horse flies CAN’T GET TO MY GELDING!!! LOVE the fact that they created it w/ties, so it’s easily adjustable & would STAY PUT on ANY size equine! Flies can still get to belly & legs, so I just super-spray his belly & do leg protectors–he DOESN’T get any hotter, cuz it’s BREATHABLE & SOFT against his skin. He’s 15.1, 1100lbs…& after the first time, it only takes a couple minutes to put on!! I’d pay MORE for this as it’s VERY durable, too!! A PERFECT 10, in my book!!

Makes going for trail rides and hacks enjoyable in the buggy season
In July-September the bugs are so relentless and vicious it makes going out for hacks in the field/trail rides miserable for my horse. The GIANT horse flies that land on the horse’s spine and deer flies that go for the neck, ears, and mane. My horse loses it when those huge horse flies are around. The Cashel Bug Armor Bundle Set seems a little ridiculous at first, but it offers the horse protection and relief from the bugs so you can enjoy going for rides outside during these buggy months. We went out for a hack for our maiden ride in the sheet and not one twitch. The horse we were with( not wearing the suit) struggled with the bugs biting him but my mare was quiet and happy – she was even happily snorting! Yay!

Great product and it really works.
I have always used the fly mask with nose piece. I recently used the chest piece as well. It ties on well to the mask at top and to thedee rings on saddle. It is plenty long for most horses necks. I did have to cut off the elastic adjustable part on the neck as myPercheron cross has a very wide a neck. Once I did that it fit well though. I use it a lot here in buggy, muggy SC . My dark horse did notsweat from it…but I always wonder why they make it in black???I have not tried the part for the rump but I imagine it too will work well. This company does make things for riders that last…

Relief!
Really helpful in calming my “emotional” QH when it comes to the flying pests. He’s much more relaxed and able to pay attention to the trail and where he’s putting his feet.I also found the strings on the back sheet to be completely bizarre. Am I supposed to tie this to my girth? Then the edges flap back and leave a large “window” for bugs right along his sides (I fixed this by clipping the upper edges to my saddle strings). Odd and needs to be addressed on future models. In regards to sizing, I can say that it fits my short backed/stocky 14.1h QH, so don’t necessarily rule it out if you have a smaller ride.

Good fly sheet for riding.
Great fly sheet for riding. My horse is a 16-3 gelding with along neck and high withers. Flies have been really bad this spring/summer – but barn flies and horse flies. Trail riding was a chore for my horse because the flies were eating him up. This sheet made a huge difference. We ride western so my saddle has the rings to easily attach the front and back piece. Ive riden on several trail rides using it and its worked great. Its easy to put on/take off, not hot, and keeps the flys off. Last trail ride a huge horse fly caught a ride on my horses rear and my horse didnt even know it was there. No tears or rips so far – and we ride alot in the forest with plenty of branches and vines sticking out.

Fine enough to see the horse’s eyes.
I like to be able to see his eyes. This fly mask allows me to do this. It’s helpful to see where he’s looking.

Works Great
My horse is happy on our rides now, not being attacked by pesky flies
Cowgirls Rule –
This is perfect to keep the mosquitoes and horse flies at bay and give my boy and myself time to relax and enjoy our ride instead of swatting steady at those pesky bugs during our ride.

It really works well except several people I know ordered them and my rump sheet was missing the top ties so I had to sew shoelace onto it otherwise it was slipping back.
