Works well
I bought this to cover a wound on my gelding’s neck. It keeps the flies off, of course, but it also allows the reins to slide over the wound when I ride without reopening the cut. Well made just like any of the Cashel products I’ve purchased. Easy to use and atays in place when the ties are used properly.

Very lightweight and could easily get caught on something and rip.
I use this to contain the very long mane of a haflinger. He is used for hippo therapy (equine therapy) and has some children ride him who love to play with and pull his mane. While the therapist and volunteer are constantly moving the child’s hands away and readjusting the net when he pulls on it, for the most part the net prevents the child from pulling hair. It is only on for the 30 minute session and then is taken off. It works for our purposes. I tried to upload a photo but it didn’t work.

Good protection.
Works great at keeping the bugs off my horse during our trail rides. The only thing that I am not crazy about is the size. The length from wither to poll is good. The width is huge!!!! It was an easy fix bc I just pinned it up, but I think it could fit 2 of her necks in there! For reference she is a 15.3 quarter horse with a stocky build.

Do not apply this and turn your horse loose. I imagine it would be best if used while trail riding. My mare ripped the strings as soon as I walked away leaving it hanging around her neck. Just a disaster waiting to happen. Glad I check frequently on them!

Short
Love the idea, seems well made BUT the length is to short to fit my 16hh gelding or my 14.3 gelding. They need to be longer!

Great bug protection
This is the 2nd one I bought so if taking 2 horses out on trail at once, both will be protected. It works great and keeps horses comfortable against biting flies, mosquitoes, etc. It is not stretchy, but is long enough to plenty cover my QH necks.

Ride during Fly Season
