My rescue enjoyed the experiance. This this is EASY to use! Very impressed.
This nail grinder is fantastic. I replaced my old corded version with this battery operated instead of buying new pads and I am sure glad I did. It’s fast and super easy to use. Compared to my old one this one is a dream to use.The noise level is super quite making my rescure enjoy the experiance. The length for my big hands makes it easy to hold. I had not bad smell from the grinding. Plus the thing looks great and will server as a backup flashlight. If this thing only last a year I’ll by another one without an issue but the build quality says it’ll last much longer.

Amazing!!!
This works SO well!! I was scared to do it because I’ve never done a dog’s nails before, but it was very easy to get used to. I have a husky whose nails grow very sharp and a few seconds of this on each nail smooths them over. I started on 1, then I did eventually graduate to 2 to take off more length at a time – the noise doesn’t bother her at all. It’s very easy to hold in your hands and maneuver around to get the best angle. It came charged and hasn’t died on me yet, after a few days of doing a little at a time, and then one big session of getting every nail. Of course the smell is like filing your own nails, but much stronger, and it definitely can get a little stinky if you do a lot at once. I didn’t think the dust was too bad, but it wouldn’t hurt to use a mask to be safe. She has very hairy feet and I didn’t have any trouble with her hair getting stuck, but I did try my best to hold it of the way to avoid it as a few reviews had mentioned it. I can’t recommend this enough, even if you’re a beginner! Great tool. I’m so happy with it.

Loud but works well.
Louder than I thought. My dog was terrified. With some training she will get used to it though. Works really well. Easy to use.

Very pleased
I have used this once so far, but was very impressed. My lab is usually extremely nervous and uncomfortable when I clip his nails. I typically have to put him in a corner and sort of trap him to keep him from running away. When I used this to grind his nails down, he was very relaxed. I let him sniff it for a couple of minutes prior to starting. Out of curiosity, I did this in the middle of the floor in my garage to see how he would react. Not once did he attempt to run away, instead he just laid down and relaxed the entire time. The grinder itself feels very well built and works very well. It is quite quiet and easy to use. The only thing I wish was different is the dial to turn it on and set the speed. It would be nice to be able to adjust it with one hand, but I still would rate this 5 stars.

Great tool that is OK with the dogs
Works well and is very quiet. I have 3 dogs, and all of them were a bit nervous at first, but then calmed down and let me use it on all 4 paws. My son even used it on his dog, that won’t even let the groomers cut his nails. He had to be held down, but the fact that all 4 of his paws got all the nails done is AMAZING!

THE BEST NAIL TRIMMING SOLUTION, PERIOD.
I expected a cheap peace of junk made in China and what I received is probably one of the best consumer products I have ever purchased. This thing is a miracle. I had historically used a Dremel on my Golden Retrievers. They didn’t like it, but they complied. Our one-year old Lab took to this trimmer with no problem at all. His nails are so short that they make no contact with the ground. Everyone comments on them – vet, groomer, trainer. It’s a remarkable product. It’s relatively quiet and, if you do it right, the light shines right through the nail so you can see the quick. Ours is a Red Fox Lab, so your success with seeing through nails on a darker/black dog may vary. The trick is to lay the dog on its back with its head in your lap. Not all dogs will do this so you may need a little help from someone to feed some treats as a distraction. Mine didn’t need any of it. Just take a little off every couple of days, avoid the quick and your dog will have perfect nails. No floor scratching and no car seat scratching. If your dog is apprehensive, just hold it in your lap while sitting on the floor and give it some rubs and treats will turning the trimmer on low. Don’t actually trim our dogs nails until it’s comfortable with the device. When you do trim for the first time, just gently hit one nail and call it a day. Do it again later and use treats. Keep doing that and, in a few days, you’ll have a great trimmer solution.I would very much caution you not to get aggressive with this trimmer. It can be tempting to go crazy and take them all the way down, and some dogs may allow this, but it WILL hurt if you hit the quick, even though there won’t be blood.I would also recommend trimming the top part of the nail and letting the concrete wear down the under-side of the nail naturally. If you don’t walk your dog enough for that, just carefully file the entire nail a little bit at a time. Doing this every few days keeps the drama to a minimum and will keep your dog’s quick moving backward. Just remember to take the smallest amount off if you can’t see the quick. Less than a millimeter.I’m going to buy another one just so I have it when the one I have fails. It’s that good.Note on pictures: This is a very active dog. He hikes mountains and walks 4-6 miles per day. His nails look rough because he spends a lot of time on rough terrain. You could file your dog’s nails with a nail file if you want them smooth. I’m going for short.

Changed Nail Trim Experience Completely!!
Bought this and it arrived today. Charged and decided to try it on my German Shorthair Pointer. Her nails were due for a trim, but he hates having her nails clipped or the dremel tool. Like really hates it and will fight and run at the first chance to get away. This trimmer changed that. She was skeptical, but after we started, she wasnât bothered by it at all. She did get a little tired of having her paws held after the front were done, but it was incredibly better than any other experience. This unit is way quieter than a dremel. It doesnât vibrate as much on her nails – both which Iâm sure help from her side.I read reviews that said they struggled with larger and longer nails, but we didnât experience that at all. We started on a slow setting to let her get accustomed to it, then increased to a high speed to make quicker work of it.Fully recommend this IF you are patient, take your time with your dog, donât have more than 2-3 seconds of contact before taking it off of the nail so it doesnât overheat, and work up to full speed. If you donât do these things, you wonât have the success you want.

This is a well designed and well made product. To me, it’s a step or two above other types of dog nail filers I’ve seen in use.I purchased it to use on my 3 pound Yorkie who is rather flighty when it comes to having her nails trimmed. I’m hoping, once used to it, this device will make nail trimming fast, fairly simple and give better, smoother results. At no more than 5 seconds per nail, things should go smoothly.I’m at the recommended stage of allowing her to get use to it. Turned on, it’s really very quiet and this skittish girl will get right up to, although a nose bump and resulting vibration had her backing away. The filing area gives three different openings of different sizes, all for different sized dogs. A light that shines down over both large and small openings makes it easy to see what the operator is doing, making it even safer to use. It came already charged, and hasn’t required to be charged again yet, so I can’t speak to how long that process takes but I can say it seems to be a very well made device. It has a bit of weight to it so doesn’t feel like something cheap and flimsy that will fall apart.Oh…one other good thing is that the instruction manual is short (4 pages for English) and easy to understand. I suggest new owners read the instructions as well as the suggestion card on how to get the dog used to the device.I’m very happy with this device and hopeful I can get my dog to accept a nail treatment if I go slow.
