Great addition to any tank
I love this airstone and light combo for my tank. The suction cups werenât going to work out for the way I have the tank arranged, so I had to rig up old unused plant bases with some zip ties. Three was sufficient enough to weigh it down so it stayed buried in the gravel. The lights donât fade in full color spectrums like the overhead lights I have in other tanks. Iâd rate this a 4/5 because of that and the suction cups. The remote works great, the built in timer saved from having to buy anything additional.

You know I was skeptical about this little light considering it’s $20 and only 4 in but I am surprisingly satisfied. It’s small and compact but it kicks out a really awesome night and the bubbles are clean and even. My favorite part is the 24/7 setting because it has auto settings to display The sun’s color during sunrise and sunset so in the morning when my overhead light is brightening up it has a beautiful golden hue in the bottom of the tank that mimics a sunrise in the morning. Same with the night, in the evenings as the top light is winding down this light transitions to Amber to mimic the sunset. Then they both fade to blue to mimic night. I have no idea if this thing was meant to display like the sun in the distance but it is so cool to watch. I don’t often do a review but this one was well deserving of one. Get this one not the other brand that’s half the price I tried it the light sucks the bubble sucks this one does not.

Good size for a small tank but 24/7 isn’t reliable UPDATE WORKS GREAT NOW!
I have a couple small betta tanks. The lights this replaced are so bright and harsh without the option to change brightness. The daytime light is much more natural. I love the 24/7 settings but for some reason it’s not moving automatically through sunrise to moonset. It did for a couple of days but now it’s not moving through the phases. It keeps turning off after setting the time (8:00, 10:00, 12:00, etc) when it hits the next time period – ie 12:00 to 15:00 (3PM), it turns off. Not sure why but I’ll keep turning on/off and playing with the settings. I did not connect to an air hose. I have it suctioned to the tank lid. I didnât like how the tank looked with the light from below but thatâs my personal preference. A couple other things to highlight from my experience. These lights did not have great suction to the tank lid. It failed to stick on securely and kept coming off on one end. The lid has a smooth surface so Iâm not sure why it has an issue sticking securely. I tried this on 2 different tank lids so it might be the suction cup. The sunrise and sunset are really orange. The only way for me to get the more natural sunrise/sunset effect was to manually select orange and adjust its brightness. Not a huge deal but the lighting definitely looks artificial without manually adjusting and having to manual adjust defeats the purpose of the 24/7 setting. The moonlight phase is a deeper blue and not very natural looking. This is one of only a couple short (4â) 24/7 submersible lights out there so very limited options. If I can get this one to reset back to the 24/7 setting it will work for my needs.Update: After fiddling with the 24/7 setting, I think I’ve finally fixed. What finally worked for me is unplugging the light from the outlet (leaving unplugged for at least 15 minutes if not longer) and plugging back in to setup the 24/7 multiple times (when the light fixture turned off). Eventually, the setting seemed to stick. Would have been helpful if there was a reset button and/or instructions to unplug the light when facing these issues. Unfortunately, this fix didn’t solve the issue and the light continues to randomly shut off. I haven’t tried the timer settings but the 24/7 settings will not work consistently for me.Update: Seller worked with me to resolve. They ended up sending me new units as I must have received defected lights. The new lights are working as expected and moving through the 24/7 cycle lights as it should. Very happy the seller took so much time to help resolve the issue.

Good option for axolotl preferring low lighting
Fantastic light and airstone.I got this for my axolotl who prefers not a lot of bright light (this doesnât light up the tank much atall, so it offers a very nice alternative to running the bright light on top). It lights up the tank enough to look pretty and be able to view my axolotl without disturbing his comfort.This took me about 5 minutes to install into my fish tank. There is no noise (other than bubbles).The remote works really well and has plenty of options. There are lots of colors, easy to choose from.I like that thereâs an option to control the light from the plug, in case the remote gets lost or stops working.The stone is solid and didnât break while I was being rough with it during install.

Bought the 40 inch model for my 55g tank. Lights are beautiful, but the product arrived with NO instruction manual, NO remote and NO tubing (so canât use the air bubble feature – which was a major motivation to purchase). The set of controls (wired, not remote) looks nothing like the remote that is pictured in the product listing and the buttons have different names so without a manual I have to use my best guess to set the light on timers. I canât find a PDF of the manual online, either.
