High-quality blue bird feeder designed to keep larger more aggressive birds (and squirrels) away from the food.Many bird feeders with metal frames like this do not have a buffer between the outside metal mesh and the food which allows larger birds to latch on to the outside and then poke their beaks inside and still reach the food – this one has a large space between the metal mesh and the attractive glass bowl in the center that will keep the food away from any critter that can’t physically get through the metal mesh to reach the inside. Much better design.Its well made with metal construction and a thick glass feeding bowl of substantial size.The only con is that reloading is a bit of a pain as the metal wire hanger has to be removed before the rain-shield top can be lifted off, exposes the glass bowl. Not a huge deal because with other birds being kept away from the food the food should last a lot longer between refills.

Excellent Caged Feeder: A True Squirrel-Proof Joy
This Caged Bluebird Feeder has brought us so much joy! The Carolina chickadees absolutely love it; we had birds using the feeder within 30 minutes of placing it outdoors.Crucially, the design is genuinely squirrel proof. The 1.5 x 1.5-inch mesh is perfectly sized to allow only small birds access, effectively keeping out larger birds and squirrelsâa major win compared to other brands we’ve used.The quality is top-notch with its durable metal and weatherproof construction. It was easy to hang, and the removable roof and included glass bowl make both filling and cleaning incredibly simple. We have nothing but positive things to say about this reliable and effective feeder.

Beautiful feeder that is well made
I have always wanted a cage style feeder and love this one. It is much larger than I expected, which was a nice surprise. The materials are nicely welded and the edges are smooth, so no rough edges that will cut the birds. I was really surprised at the beautiful glass dish inside, thick glass with cut designs. I have put it out and no squirrels have bothered with it. This is going to save me on seed, since it is just for the birds. The blue is a nice shade and looks pretty, hanging off my porch. It is easy to take off the top to refill the dish and the dish is easy to clean.

Sturdy feeder with a lot of nice features. Great for meal worms and feeding small birds.
I have numerous bird feeders of various types to accommodate the various species who visit. One of the issues with the open feeders is that the larger birds chase the smaller ones off the feeder. We have several mated pairs of Mourning Doves who monopolize them, especially the open shelf type camera feeders. This feeder works well with meal worms but you can use it for any type of feed for small birds. Depending on the number of birds that visit, you may have to refill it frequently. Next spring I plan to provide meal worms for my Blue Birds. I noticed after I made the video I mentioned the bowl being plastic, but it’s actually heavy glass. A heavy glass bowl in a cage instead of on a raised platform makes it harder to turn over and will frustrate long arm squirrels. Highly recommend this feeder. It’s a nice addition to any bird feeder program.

Bird Only Buffet
This little bluebird feeder is adorable and actually works to keep the squirrels from stealing all the good stuff. I love that itâs designed so the small birds can get in easily, but the bigger, more âenthusiasticâ eaters have to sit this one out. The glass bowl is a nice touch, makes cleaning and refilling super easy, and it feels sturdy and well made.It looks beautiful hanging outside, and the metal design seems like itâll hold up to the weather just fine. My birds seem happy, and for once, the squirrels are just spectators. Iâd call that a win.
