Legendary MRE pizza slice
The legendary pizza MRE. It’s shelf stable pizza, not dominoes. For what it is, it’s fantastic. It tastes kind of like a combination between those small single serving frozen pizzas and a Lunchable. With the full MRE, it’d be pretty decent as a filling meal, but by itself size wise and filling wise it makes for a good hiking/camping snack or midnight snack.Yes, it’s got a fair bit more bread than normal. If you expected a saucy fresh slice.. You probably ate too many crayons.If you have the time, nuke it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, throw some parmesan or something on it and it’s solid.At about $6 a slice, it’s steep, but if you want fresh scooch down to Costco and pay your $1.50 for a hot slice there. If you want to relive some memories or pretend you were in when the MREs were innovative, or need some food that’ll be shelf stable for a while, this is the way.

I’m glad i bought these. I might buy another.From a perspective of flavor, it is maybe 3 stars. Basically a somewhat bland, kinda chewy hot pocket. Not too good, not too bad.5 stars because if I was stranded somewhere, I could stay alive on these.I ate one, and put the other 2 in the trunk of my car. Fit nicely inside my mini-survival kit (a heavy jacket, an ushunka cap, mittens & hand warmers, and extra socks).

A tad bit misleading…
While the item itself is great, buyer be aware that these are not the Bridgford 2-pack shown in the picture. You literally only get 3 meals. This makes them far too expensive to order via Amazon. If you go to the Bridgford main webpage you will see these packs and they list 2-meals per pack. The pics shown here are deceptive and lead you into thinking you actually get 6-meals. My bad for falling for this and I will not repeat my mistake.

Tastes like crap… literal crap. I know this is an MRE, but I feel sorry for the soldiers that have to eat this. There is very little filling, its mostly just tasteless bread.

Tasty and filling.
I tried a beef BBQ room temperature, right out of the package. It was good and filling for a light lunch. I did appreciate having some coffee to go with it as it was a little dry. For a quick and convenient 130 calories, I will buy more. I’ll be keeping one in my snack bag for Search and Rescue, and when i go hunting.

OK, but too salty
Ordered your product to give it a try. Was looking shelf stable and small enough to be put into my pocket.Yes it says it self stable up to 3 months (good), small pouch that easily fits into my pocket (good).Pouch is not easy to open, need a knife or something (hmm).It was VERY salty, almost to the point of being overbearing of the actual taste of it (not good).
