It redeemed itself. Took these hunting this year. Held out for over 5 hours.
Update: Finally learned how to fully charge this light, which is why in my previous review I rated it so poorly. Fast forward to my recent hunt in Arizona’s desert. Got my deer about an hour before sunset. By the time we headed back to our trucks, about 1 1/2 miles away, it was dark. I turned on my light, not knowing if it would last an hour let alone the 5 hours it took to make it out. It not only stayed on the entire 5 hours, it was bright enough to see around me. If you are familar with the desert, there are several things that can trip you up in the day, the night is 10 times worse. Anyway, got back to my truck, took the light off, and it finally gave out. 5 hours folks. 5 hours it stayed on. Hats off to the makers of this light. Go get yourself one but make sure you get it fully charged. It’s sitll bulky, and the battery pack holder is fliimsy, but it saved my life! Can’t beat that with any other light. Period, a good deal.I’m a hunter, so getting in and out of the woods requires a compact, lightweight and very bright light. Got these because of the green light option, which biologist claim deer and other wild game can’t see. The pros: When initially fully charged, both the white and green light are very bright. The cost was a good price too, for what else is out there. The cons: I charged the batteries as per the instructions but I had no way of knowing when or if it was fully charged. On the second use, on the way back to my truck from the woods, the light got very dim. Within a short time, the light completely went out. The second charge held for three hunts. The battery pack has a red light on it that shows when wearing, again, I only want a green light. Also, the battery pack is very large, and bulky. I mean, I felt like a coal miner wearing this thing. As mentioned too, the instructions are included, but translated from Chinese to English, missing the right verbs and adjectives- thereby making no sense. The snap that goes over the charger input came off after the first charge. So, I’ll probably keep these only because they still kind of work.

Not as good as the green one.
I bought the purple and the green headlamps for agricultural work and fishing. In terms of build and light quality, I like the green model better. First off, the charger port is USB C, like most of my other equipment. Secondly, the green light remains useable for farther distances, though this might be a function of wavelength. Lastly, the white light functions are brighter and more evenly distributed compared to the purple, resulting in a better field of view.The purple(uv) version I could tell right away was different than the green, despite having the same model number. The lamp unit itself is lighter and slightly smaller, the charger port is old-school usb-a, the uv function is pretty cool but is not as focused as it could be but I can spot large pests on my plumb trees from about 40 feet. The batteries on both preform well.

Not Worth It!
Barely used and it won’t charge. Light turns green as of it is fully charged within seconds after plugging it but will not turn on. Reached out to customer service a while ago and have not gotten a response. Highly recommend spending money elsewhere.

Very useful
I bought this to help me clean a darker-toned carpet, the black light helped identify odorous stains that were difficult to find otherwise. This is bright and makes that process very easy.It’s rechargeable, which is fantastic. Headlamps I’ve used that are not rechargeable tend to go through batteries fast. This one lasts a long time and charges rapidly.The LED on it is a perfect level of brightness for work where I don’t need a black light. It’s a wider beam that keeps my workspace well-lit. I love that I can adjust the tilt as well.You cannot adjust the width of the beam, which might be nice, but typically isn’t necessary. I have another lamp that adjusts down to a half-dollar sized beam, that’s great for working in a very small and delicate space…but this one does the trick for most of the work I do around the house.It’s comfortable to wear and not very heavy.If you need something with a black light feature, I’d recommend this.
