    Perfect.
I have a quaker, a small conure, and a cockatiel that I intend to use these for. The fit is absolutely perfect for this size of bird (I got size 7). The metal closure that goes around the bird’s leg is a thick and smooth piece of hardware that simply opens and closes around the leg, and it seems comfortable. When it’s closed, there are two loops that line up, and when you hook the end of the chain through them, it stays closed. Then you clip the other end to the little strap that goes around your own wrist, and voila. This item works perfectly as intended. I have more than one of these bird chains. I can use two at a time comfortably; one for each wrist and one bird per shoulder. I use these when I bring my birds outside for their own safety. If they spook, they fly to the end of the chain and then they are gently brought down to the ground in front of me where I can retrieve them quickly and easily. Even the tamest of birds can spook, so I find these to be a major asset in keeping my birds safe when they’re outdoors. Here are a few tips for putting your bird on a leash.1. Unless you have a well trained bird, you will have to secure your little friend to put this on. My birds won’t do it willingly, but I can get them to sit still in my grasp for long enough to get the clips together with little fuss. If your bird won’t sit still, use the towel trick. If possible, have someone hold the bird while another person attaches the clip. Be as quick and smooth about this process as possible to reduce stress. If it’s taking too long or the bird is too stressed and wiggly, try again another time, and perhaps acclimate your bird to being restrained first.2. Try to make the leash into either a neutral or positive experience. If it becomes a scary or negative experience, Mr. Feathers won’t want to do it, ever. Speak positively, smile, and pretend you’re having fun. Use treats and positive reinforcement; make sure the bird gets something good out of it. I always point out to my birbs that I have to wear it too! Whenever I put it on or take it off, I praise them and tell them they did a great job. Otherwise, their reward is getting to spend time with me and be outside.3. Put the chain on your bird directly before going somewhere or doing a task. It helps to bring my birds outside right after putting on the leash – the distractions help them to forget they’re wearing something annoying. Otherwise, they do try to chew on it. I think that will lessen or stop as we use them more, but overall, not a big deal as long as they are occupied.4. Remember, never leave your bird unattended on this leash! They could tangle themselves up and strangulate or hurt themselves. This item should be used under supervision only.Great product!!

    Great product
This product is very sturdy using good material and i love it, it took my sun conure atleast 3 days to get use to the ring on her foot which was perfect sizing. I also didn’t expect the chain to be such good quality but it is.

    Don’t buy.
This looks terrible. To restrict your bird by the ankle by a chain?! I hope people don’t buy this. I had to put one star but if I could, I would’ve NOT put any.
