Exactly what I needed
I am thrilled. I have an older Biorb 4 gallon tank. I wanted a light that I could dim as I felt the light It came with was too bright and grew algae. I saw on the product page this is often returned. You need to know that this fits into a black plug and not a white plug. I plugged it in and it didn’t work right away, even turning it on from the switch. Put the batteries into the remote, hit the on button and voila, it worked. I love that I can set a timer and choose how bright a light I want. Not sure I will be using the different colors, but I’m pleased that this is exactly what I needed.

Works Great, Not Compatible with Older Biorb Models
I ordered this to replace a Biorb light damaged during a move. The light itself works great, but definitely doesnât line up with the feeding holes in the existing lids of older models.

USELESS
My Bio Orb was great until the light and pump combo stopped working. I wasn’t mad because it has been two years of no problems so I can buy a pump and light but the new one didn’t come with the plug in that goes into the wall. It’s the original transformer that went out, I just assumed they would send a transformer with it. Now I have this useless light and had to find a Walmart pump quickly so my fish didn’t dieAnyone know where I can find a 12 v ac transformer cheaper than $85 on ebay let me know. VERY UNSATISFIED – WHY CANT BIO ORB HAVE A NORMAL PLUG IN ð?????

Nice Upgrade
My BiOrb Classic came with the standard LED lights, and no remote control. This was plug and play, and the colors are a nice feature. You can also dim the light, put it on a timer, and it even has a blue ânighttime modeâ. I definitely recommend this!

Feel guilty I didnât buy this sooner
So, snap! Lights on, Lights off!Thatâs what my fish had been dealing with for the last year.Now, not only do I not need to remember to turn the light on or off it gradually turns lights up in the morning and down in the evening. Looks great and so much nicer than the included light. The remote is nice but I recommend you set it, then put it away. The only caveat is if the power goes out it will cancel your light schedule. So, keep that in mind.Overall excellent product fir the Biorb aquarium and I highly recommend!

Faulty cheaply made
The light was great for the first 30 days then it stopped working just like the one I purchased previously. The switch was not working and it has to be switched on and off multiple times before it turns on if it does at all. The remote quit working as well, even with fresh batteries. This is exactly all the same issues I previously had. Of course I canât return the product because itâs two days past the 30 day mark. The product is very expensive and I canât afford to keep buying new lights every month. Very disappointing

This can be used with a little diy
I didnât realize it had a different connection from the original one I had. If you are not planning to return it you can actually just wire the old one to the new one and it will power it On/Off.

Not compatible with newer Biorb aquariums
Do not buy this until you verify that your adapter is a 12v ac. Newer Biorb aquariums are 12v dc and this light will not work.

I was hoping this would connect to a different light transformer but no luck. This one is very specific, hard to find and expensive. Looks like I have to return the light and ditch my tank. Otherwise the cost is $160 to replace the light on a $160 tank.

Je cherchais à remplacer ma lampe qui simulait la lumière du jour mais je n’ai trouvé que celle-ci qui puisse faire ça.Le changement de couleur vraiment sympa.Quitte à choisir une couleur, autant qu’elle soit statique car ça pourrait peut être stresser les poissons… Changer chaque jour mais ne pas la mettre en variation de couleur en continu.Ravie de pouvoir retrouver cette lumière qui simule la lumière du jour.Puissance luminosité réglable. Top.Je l’utilise sur mon Biorb classic 30L. Le niveau le plus fort est trop puissant pour cette taille.

Ich habe das Produkt vor etwas mehr al einem Monat als Geschenk gekauft. Leider stellte sich erst nach dem auspacken heraus, dass es nicht das Produkt war, was in den Artikelbildern dargestellt wurde. Das Model (bzw. die Farbe ist Grau und nicht wie abgebildet schwarz und die Fernbedienung ist auch eine andere. Ich wollte das Produkt daher zurückgeben, was mir jetzt aber untersagt wird. Jetzt sitze ich auf dem Produkt. Ich bitte über diesem Wege um eine Klärung bzw. eine Rücknahme des Produkts!

Same experience with other users: Light is great but the remote is not durable. Amazon does not offer the option of exchanging just the remote. Maximum shipping fee refunded for returning the whole item (LED, Remote, Manual, Box) is capped and dependent on where you are. So if you need to just return the remote it may end up costing you more than just using your old remote or getting a new remote. Note the ends of this light is the 2 pin (one round, one flat) design that fits the old transformer. The small size MCR LED is the correct size for the BiOrb Tube 30.
