Solid product
We already have several of the large Augason Farms buckets stored for long term emergencies, but I bought a few of these smaller 72 hour packs to test out. The flavor was surprisingly good right out of the bag, and we elevated it by adding white wine and fresh scallions from our garden which made it amazing. One drawback is that you’ll probably have to cook the entire package at once since each type of food comes in a single pouch. This makes it harder to portion into daily servings. The serving sizes are also on the smaller side, so I recommend supplementing with other dry staples if you want fuller meals.Overall, it is a solid and convenient emergency food option and I definitely recommend it.

Doctor it up & itâs great!
These arenât freeze dried. They need to be actually cooked. They really arenât bad, but you can make them better with some seasonings. The rice was really creamy but had more of a celery flavor. I added in some chicken bouillon powder & it was better. It wouldâve been perfect with some shredded chicken added in. The quality of the food itself is good. I do wish they separated the servings so they could last 72 hours. You have to make the entire batch. So either you can split it between family members or youâd be eating one thing all day. Iâm purchasing these in case of an emergency, so I doubt Iâd have a refrigerator available to store left overs. The servings are large and filling. Overall, Iâd say itâs worth the money. I bought a few more to keep around.

Really enjoyed this.
Trying this out for the first time. Bag arrived with three small bags inside. Easy to read instructions. Easy to prepare. So far I have tried the chicken flavored rice. I didnât tell my family what it was and they all loved it. Excited about trying the other two items. It tasted great and the quality was better than expected.

Buy it on sale
Keeping in mind that this kit is just a multi serving three pack of just add water and cook meal items and you won’t be disappointed, especially if you can get it when it’s on sale under $20. Otherwise I think you’re going to underwhelmed when you open it up if you pay full retail. The kit’s well packaged and has a long shelf life in a durable reclosable outer bag and the inner packages do come with oxygen absorbers. Although you’ll have to figure out a way to reclose the individual packages once you open them if you’re using it as a 3-day meal kit. If like me and you’re going to use it as a one-day kit for a family of three it’s not an issue.Like most kits of this type you’re not getting any significant protein out of these, It’s mostly carbohydrates and high in sodium so you need to take that into account. Also their serving sizes are based on bare minimums of 1/2 cup prepared, that’ll take the edge off your hunger but that’s about it. I purchased some shelf stable pouch chicken and then vacuum sealed that in with each pouch of the potato soup and the chicken rice mix so should I even need to use this it will actually provide more balanced nutrition.

Get 2 of these a month.
If you never intend to use them, buy them up just in case. Worst case they make for good camping food. Shelf life of up to/over 25 years, you can fill a corner of your pantry with some easily prepared and still tasty and nutritious meal.
