Assorted Rain Forest Animal Figures

The little five year old boy that I gifted this to absolutely loves them!

Decent for the money, but no help in identifying the animals
I am teaching a series of classes this spring for homeschooled preschoolers about animal habitats, and I wanted some plastic animals for sensory bins that didn’t cost a fortune. This pack was a great price and fit the budget well.This set has a lot of different animals and for the most part they have great detail and color. There are a few pieces where the color is off on the belly of the animal, but honestly, at this price point that is not something that bothers me and the kids didn’t even notice.This set does not come with a list of what each animal is. I have several reference books I was using for my class and I still couldn’t identify a couple of them with complete confidence. That bugs me more than the color being off on a few.I would purchase again if I needed more!

I disagree with some of the IDs by other reviewers
The packaging opened during transit so they aired out prior to their arrival. I am very sensitive to smells, yet their smell was faint upon arrival and it did not bother me, so we kept the animals.Pros – Has a lot of species that other companies do not include. Most were very well painted.Cons – Not everything was from a jungle/rainforest like the North American skunk (which maybe was intended to be a different creature) and the Siberian lynx. The tapir has a blue underside making it look so fake that we could not keep it. The Koala had creepy eyes. The bear is most likely a sun bear since its so small, but its missing the crescent on its chest that displays that is it a sun bear. Plus the bear’s face is very red so it almost looked like blood, so we did not keep it. The monkey does not match any known species – if they painted the monkey’s face blue and gave it a shorter muzzle & nose, then it could be a golden snub nosed monkey (a species I would like for Asia’s continent box).I did disagree with some of the animal IDs given by other buyers, so here is my best guess as to what the animals are:Senegal or Lesser bushbaby (Africa),Ring-tailed lemur (Madagascar),Common or Large-spotted Genet (Africa),Koala (Australia),Tree kangaroo (Australia),Sloth (South America),Ring-Tailed Coati (South America),Euroasian lynx (Europe & Asia but mostly in the arctic so we put it in that box),Eastern Spotted skunk (North American),Asian tapir (with unrealistic blue undersides),Monkey (that represents no known species),Sun bear (missing its crescent shape in the chest).

These were perfect for my daughters biome project for school. Completed her rainforest perfectly.
