The size receives mixed feedback – while some find it perfect for cichlids and Cory cats, others say it’s too big for their fish. The sinkability is also mixed, with some saying it sinks immediately while others report it floating on top after 5 minutes. Freshwater Eel and Angelfish Approved!
Generous amount and affordable. My fresh water angelfish and peacock eel seem to like them and they do not stink when you open the container. I will buy more in the future. Great product.

Great food for catfish. Mine love it. Pretty good size container. Will definitely last awhile. Definitely worth the money. Money we’ll spent.

    Good value.
I have 7 long fin black skirt fish, and 2 albino catfish, and they all love this stuff. It’s a change in the diet that my long fins crave. It keeps them from eating my plants so it must be nutritious and good quality.

    Great fish food
After a nearly 2 decade break, I’m back to having tropical fish. The pet store clerk sold me a baby plecostomus and after a few months of little or no growth, I worried he was not getting enough food. So I purchased these shrimp pellets to help feed him. Oh my gosh, he loves them and is really starting to put on some size! They are packed with nutrition. The other fish love them too.

fish like it, just a little too big
I have three cory catfish that are constantly working the bottom of my tank and I am sometimes concerned that there may not be food getting to them.I bought these to drop in a few times a week just to make sure they have enough. The fish definitely like them and will eat them pretty fast. They sink immediately 80% of the time. I have a strong current so they never end up where I want them but the fish find them eventually. The floaters eventually sink and get eaten. What I do not like is these are too big to be eaten immediately. They take at least 15 minutes to absorb water and soften. They eventually get eaten but the catfish tend to push them into the gravel when they first fall and can’t be eaten right away.Other than some float and they are too big to eat by small cory cats immediately, they do the job of making sure the cats have food to eat.The jar is huge and was priced fairly. That is a bonus. If it expires ill take it to the lake when I fish and use it as chum. Bass, bluegill and chanel catfish will like it too.

Pellets drop, pleco snaps—peace gone, chaos fed.
Dropped one in. My pleco emerged like a submarine on a snack mission. He bulldozed a snail, ignored gravity, and suctioned that pellet like it owed him rent. The tank’s now a crime scene—algae untouched, shrimp traumatized, pleco victorious. These pellets don’t just sink… they summon. 10/10 would fuel the chaos again.

Perfect size — hard to find medium/large pellets
This product from Aqueon is my solution for hard to find medium/large sinking pellets for goldfish. I would say these pellets are uniformly about 4 mm in diameter. All of my indoor goldfish seem to enjoy them. My fish family ranges from 9″ long down to 2.5″ long with most around 4-5″ long and this size works for all of them.

Unfortunately for the bottom feeders, the pellets don’t sink right away and the rest of the fish seem to be playing soccer with them. All our fish love them.

In my aquarium I have two Reed Fish / Rope fish , they are fussy with dry foods and prefer live or frozen , other fish Jack Dempsey and Four line Pim also gorge on live / frozen as well as my staple , my staple is NLS – Thera- A but the reed never eat it , but they love these pellets and it allows me to feed live once a week and have the ease of feeding pellets , these float for a bit and then sink so are useful for fish higher in the water column, recommended .

I’ve used this for a few years now and my fish love them. My loaches go crazy for them the second they hit the ground. I recommended my mom to try them for her fish too and she said she was amazed at their reaction and her fish clearly enjoyed them as well. They breakdown as the fish eat them but keep their shape till they get munched on. I don’t find they cloud the water all and the ease of breakdown allows the fish to eat them without needing to swallow them whole which could be difficult for some fish since they are a decent sized pellet.
