Aqueon LED Fish Tank Aquarium Strip Light Fixture, 24 Inch

Received light fixture but the color of lamp/bulb is blue, not bright white as shown on the box that you see.There is no obvious indications that this is a blue color light.The box shows a white light shining bright.Why?The light is blue!!I was expecting a white light.There were no installation instructions for the second light if you need or want to add one.Can another lamp be added to this?It is very obvious that CHINA is behind this!2 lights are necessary if al you have is this one blue light.They force the customer to buy the White brighter light even though the packaging says clearly that the white light is in the box!Update!!!!!I installed a new bright white light into this fixture and it worked for about 2 seconds and then turned off.Now no light bulbs work!The only light that is on is a small blue power onlight located in the base onder the 2 light bulbs.It is the only light that has ever worked on this new fixture!Thought I needed the white light in order for both lights to work but apparently BOTH bulbs were BAD in the beginning so when I put the new white light in it shorted out or something.Both light do not work as they are supposed to.I think the fixture itself must have a short in it somewhere.Update!!!!After inspecting the fixture and both bulbs I tried her once more and flipped the power switch in both directions.It worked!!!!!!!Both lights now work and shine bright with that second White lamp in there.Must have been a loose connection somewhere or something.Update on this fixture & lightThey both now work and that little blue light is on as well.

A great, easier to use, improvement over the old fluorescent type hood and lights.
So far, so good. I purchased this newer Aqeon LED hood with the standard white LED’s and then a Beauty Max 2nd LED bulb to fill the open second light slot to replace the old fluorescent using hoods on my fish tank. The old fluorescent hoods kept failing every 6-9 months due to the ballasts going bad. I read some reviews that the light was too dim but it comes with an open 2nd slot for a 2nd lamp and with a second lamp in place it seems plenty bright. Also, these LED bulbs are a lot easier to insert and remove than the old fluorescent ones. By 60 gallon tank uses two 24″ hoods and you can see in the photo it lights the tank nicely. There is the option to use the three way switch on the back to toggle a small blue light for night time but I have mine on a timer that simply turns the lights off at bedtime and on in the morning. As long as these work beyond the 6-9 months I was getting with the old style these will be great. I’m holding back one star until I see how long these work.

Perfect Fit to a 36 gal bow front
I have an Aqueon 36 gal Bow Front tank and I was hesitant to purchase this as I was also looking at the newer Modular Aqueon LED light stip that has space for a third LED light. I went with this as I wanted the light to fit “perfectly” on the lid just as the stock florescent light did. I am utilizing the provided white LED strip and I also purchased the Beauty Max LED strip. The lights are awesome. The beauty max light really brings out the fish and decor colors! In comparison, the stock florescent light is “brighter” than these, but I much prefer the “cyrstal clear” light from the LEDs. It wold be nice to have space for a 3rd LED light strip, but I prefer the “perfect fit” this has to the lid. I would purchase again.

Perfect pairing for versa glass top aquarium lids!
Works great for my 10 gallon aquarium with a versa glass top, only downfall is it only comes with one light, which is bright by itself, but I prefer to have both spots with lights!
