The Algae Cleaning Magnets are an easy solution to effectively remove algae from inside of the aquarium walls. One piece has a scrubbing side for removing algae inside of the aquarium, while the other part magnetically attaches from the outside. Each algae cleaning magnet comes with one pad for glass aquariums and one pad for acrylic aquariums. The inside scrubber magnet is bottom-weighted that will fall straight down if separated. The bowed bottom design allows the scrub pad to rest above the gravel for easy retrieval while reducing the risk of scratching the aquarium walls. Three different sizes to accommodate various glass and acrylic aquariums.

Great for Keeping the Tank Clean!
This algae cleaning magnet is a solid tool for keeping my aquarium glass spotless! It works well on both glass and acrylic, and the small size is perfect for my tank. The magnet strength is decent, so itâs easy to clean those hard-to-reach spots without getting your hands wet.Only downside: you have to be careful not to let the magnet come apart while cleaning, as it can be a little tricky to snap back together. But other than that, it does the job and keeps my fish tank looking great!

This product works very well. The design is perfect and itâs cleaning. A abilities is great with a fresh pad and is very soft on the glass and does not scratch the glass. The pad does get dirty very quick.

Makes cleanup a breeze!
Great quality, very strong magnets, this is perfect for my 10 gallon aquarium. It comes with 2 scrubbing pads that snap into place so you can use it for glass or acrylic tanks. The pad for glass has a warning printed on the back to advise it is ONLY for glass, that will help you tell them apart if needed. Otherwise blue scrubber for acrylic and black scrubber for glass. This is very effective at cleaning the inside of the tank. Intuitive design and size. There is a nub on one end to keep the scrubbing above the substrate. You can go slowly around the corner and the scrubber will hop to stick to the next side of the tank. This does not float, but will sink straight down if separated. This is my 2nd one to be able to keep nearby for both the upstairs and downstairs tanks. You can compare the included before and after pictures – on the before pic you can see the clean paths from snail travel on the inside of the glass, on the second we are nice and clear – victory!.

Okay but doesnât replace standard brush.
Purchased for my sonâs 10 gallon fish tank. It worked okay in the tighter areas, however is does not clean as well as a standard brush with a scrubber on one side.

Bought the medium version which is ideal for 10mm glass. Cleans the glass well and, so far, it hasn’t become detached from the outside magnet. It’s quite hard work though! The only problem, which is minor, is that the inside magnet tends to vibrate or oscillate as it travels, unless you move extremely slowly. This sets up small pressure waves through the water, enough to make the heater elements wobble when you’re in the vicinity, and it freaks the fish out a bit, but only while it’s going on. Overall, though, I’m very pleased with it.
