ALL-NATURAL TANK CLEANLINESS SOLUTION – The Eco-Bio Stone is a volcanic rock containing beneficial bacteria colonies, which are dispersed about every 30 minutes. Clarifies cloudy water and eliminates odors over the lifetime of the stone, up to two years.
AQUARIUM BIOLOGY WORKS FOR YOU – Speeds up nitrogen cycle, with 100% pure bacteria in spores which germinate in early, middle and late stages, only germinating in the presence of organic waste.
SLOW AND SAFE EFFECTS – Takes approximately 2 – 6 weeks for results under normal conditions, with no need to add liquid or powder bacteria.
PAINLESS AND HEALTHY – Safe for all fish, reptiles, amphibians and other aquatic life, and minimizes aquarium maintenance by significantly reducing the need to change water and vacuum gravel.
RIGHT SIZE FOR RIGHT HOME – Simple to use, no mess aquarium care in fresh or salt water. Quickly establishes nitrifying bacteria in new aquariums reducing length of “new tank syndrome”. Nano size treats tanks from 0.8 to 1.5 gallons.
Customers say
Customers report that the aquarium stone keeps water crystal clear and improves water quality, with one customer noting their 3-gallon tank became clear within two weeks. The product receives positive feedback for its quality and effectiveness, with one customer mentioning it’s better than Seachem Purigen. While some customers report their fish are thriving, others experienced fish deaths. The functionality and value for money receive mixed reviews, with some saying it works well in 75-gallon tanks while others report no improvement, and some consider it well worth the money while others find it poor value. The algae removal aspect is also mixed, with some reporting fewer algae build-up while others note white substance accumulation.

2 excellent cannister filters
Long review but I felt it was needed.I ordered 2 Medium Eco-Bio Block Stones 02/22/17.I have a 300 gallon cichlid tank. Had cichlids over 20 years. 2 excellent cannister filters. Have always had good tank care. Even with great water circulation and appropriate scheduled tank management after approx 3-5 days, I would sit and think ‘I wish I could change my polisher pads’ but as with most things in life….it would fall down on my priority list and they would be changed with my routine filter care. That was a constant occurrence for years. I loved to sit and enjoy my freshly maintained water that was crystal clear for that 3-5 days after my scheduled maintenance. But the really beautiful clarity left too quickly.Little did I know that was the least of my upcoming problems. Sadly, my water well has since failed and is testing VERY high with nitrates. 160ppm or possibly even more….so sad!I am thankful that fish can acclimate and mine have done incredible but I am unable to purchase any new fish or to give any to other tanks due to the drastic chemistry. Water changes actually tend to increase my nitrates….I can give my children bottled water and insure my family is safe but a 300 gallon fresh water tank….posed a more complicated situation.Fast forward to my search for a momentary solution (until we can get a new well) for my fish that I have had for years and did not want to loose.PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS AS AN OPEN DOOR TO CRITICIZE ME OR MY PRACTICES….This novel is intended to help someone that may possibly be in the same situation as I was. There is no product that will help high nitrates that are already established in your planned supply of water. They must be naturally balanced. To anyone who has had fresh water fish for years and they have done just great and then all of a sudden…you notice new fish don’t thrive and usually end up dying….check your water. You may grow complacent to your established system and variables CAN change without you being aware. Now for my review. I just wanted to help anyone that really wants to know how these things work….I wanted to give some of my history so I could establish my perspective.I did a test run in a pitcher of water with a air stone under the eco-bio stones. I used my established tank water and checked my nitrates and pH approximately every 12 hours for each water specimen. I wanted to accurately measure effectiveness. Within 48 hours the pH in the pitcher went through the roof!…I expected that, so warning….you have remember the chemistry of nitrate, pH and hardness balance. It was a gradual process…no sudden spikes. However, I was shocked at the fact that my nitrates came down to 40ppm within 48 hrs!….Remember, I started at 160ppm and very possibly higher than that….I was amazed! Now just under two weeks later, my water is amazing! It has looked as if I have changed my polisher pads every day!!!! I love that!!! My nitrates sadly….are the same but I guess…considering the size of my tank….it is not a surprise. The information sheet does say 2-4 weeks….not to mention, I’m sure my fish would not fare well if it did suddenly decrease and my water chemistry changed drastically. I am completely happy with the results and that it even without the nitrate component,,,,the clarity is incredible!!!So, I would highly recommend the purchase of these stones! In fact, I just purchased two more Medium Stones for my tank and a Small Stone for my son’s small goldfish tank!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Before and after pics and video! I am new to the aquarium hobby. I have a 75 gl tank with a few Koi fish and Plecos. After about a month my tank starting a bacterial bloom, was cloudy, and needed frequent water changes. I saw this product at Petco and thought what the heck Iâll try out after I researched it. All the reviews were glowing here on Amazon, internet and on YouTube and every tank that had one of these cleared up quick. I decided to buy this medium one as I had bought the small and wanted to see what it would do. I didnât want and substrate in my tank just for cleanliness. Literally about a week later I get home from work after 2 partial water changes both days before and my tank was crystal clear!!!! Prior to this I had a 40 gallon tank and had tons of problems with water changes and my fish dying but I was determined to get this right to enjoy fish keeping. I spoke to a local aquarium store owner and he talked me through everything such as a larger tank not being as hard as a smaller one and that the concentration of water in a smaller one is just bad because if one fish gets sick they spread it fast to the others faster. He did not mention this product I just decided to try it and boy am I glad I did!!! My water and my fish are thriving. I check my water levels daily and test the water. Since putting this stone in itâs stayed consistently the same. If youâre having trouble with a tank TRY THIS youâll be impressed. I know for koi I need a bigger tank and that is the plan or an outdoor pond.. Also take the package advise and soak for the 24 hours in non chlorinated waters. It has some bubbles that will discharge from the stone and small particles that the soaking process will clean this off of it. This will help to stop you from transferring the particles to your fishes home. Iâm thrilled I tried this project.

Works wonders in my goldfish tank
I use this in a 55 gallon aquarium with goldfish and snails. After soaking the stone, then placing it in the aquarium, it takes a few days to see a difference in the water, but it works. It also seems to provide calcium for the snails as I found a noticeable difference for the better in shell quality after adding this to my tank. Yes, there is some residue that appeared on my glass after the rock was placed in the tank, but I was able to wipe that away and it did not return. The rock is also extremely large, not very attractive, and difficult to hide in my aquascaping. Due to the size of my tank, they recommend having two of these in my tank, but that just wonât work with my set up (it would take up too much space and be an eye sore). The packaging says these last 1-2 years, but I found one in my 55 gallon tank lasted about 5 months. So, I give it 4 stars because it works and the benefits are worth having one in the tank, but itâs ugly and oversized.

Great stones
THESE STONES DO WORKAfter trying numerous products to clear the water in my 10 gallon tank I purchased these Eco stones. overnight the water was clear and the fish were happy!

Didn’t work.
These did not work for my tank. I soaked them in water for 12+ hours prior to dropping 2 in. I have a 2.5 gallon tank with one betta. I meticulously cleaned my tank prior to dropping them in. Placed them over an emptied filter but still had the water flow and tank got cloudy within 5-6 days. It says to replace every year. Mmmmm. Nope. Disappointed it didnt work.

Great for a small tank
I was hoping they’d be a little bit bigger but it does help the nitrogen levels in my turtle tank it helps keep the water quality at a decent level I won’t buy them again because I need the great big ones

Aquarium essential!
Highly recommend. Been using these for years. It definitely needs to be used as directed, and plan your time accordingly. Rinse in chlorine-free water and soak overnight or all day in chlorine-free water. Works like a dream. Clean tank as needed, even with help from snails.I have had a stone or 2 where I didn’t think it worked but I care about my fish more than water clarity, and the water tests came up perfectly normal while using it. Cycles completed, fish-in (goldfish), within a week or 2 tops.

A bit pricey but these really work so worth it if you want something natural and low maintenance to help keep your tank clear and clean.

Before having this magic stone, I had to change filter weekly ( filter was black and completely plugged by the end of 1 week) and water change bi-weekly. Now, the filter was clean after 1 week, and water perfectly clear by the end of 2 weeks. I have 6 good sized gold fish in each tank. thanks to this magic EcoBio-Block stone. This is THE single most efficient, and cheapest equipment for fish tank!!

I added these two cubes to my 5 gallon tank and it made no difference to the slight cloudiness I was trying to dissipate.
