This Continuous Hydroponic Monitoring System Is Almost Perfect…
I have a few of these continuous hydroponic monitoring systems in my hydroponic units. They all work well and provide accurate values both on their displays, as well as on the associated apps. What I can’t understand is why the power cord has to plug in at such an odd place? Why not come in from underneath and keep things symmetrical? Besides this minor complaint, the unit performs well and is a definite must-have for any hydroponic reservoir.

Useful monitor offline too
This is a useful unit. I dabble in aquaponics and had always wanted a way to monitor basically the exact things this does: pH, temperature, and conductivity. For now I’m just using it offline and checking it when I go out to the tank where it’s now mounted. But hope to someday get an alternative firmware that I’m more okay having on the WiFi that should hopefully be compatible with Home Assistant.It was an interesting process to calibrate it. Although both before and even still AFTER doing so it disagreed with another half-way similar monitor about the pH of the very same glass of water. I’ve not worried too much about that but still kinda odd. The display on this has a few more features than the other, but also requires a bit more button pushing.

Great equipment for a large aquarium.
I do like knowing all of my water parameters and this does help a lot with my parameters. It gives my salt, my ph. Yeah, my water quality. The only thing I wish that this had would be ammonia and nitrate that you can’t ask for everything on this device. As for what it is, it is an amazing device. It works extremely well once you calibrate it with the ph. Chemicals, it came with and a salinity chemical.It came with it works just like it says in the manufacturer’s packaging.

Solid monitor with a few quirks
Overall, this probe from UIUZMAR does the job. It doesnât offer quite as much detail as my GIDIGI probe, and Iâm not a huge fan of the cord layout, but itâs accurate and consistent. Setup was easy, and itâs been reliable in daily use. It also uses the Tuya Smart app, same as my other probe, so I can monitor both from one place â I love that. For my needs, mainly solid ongoing monitoring, it checks the box. It’s compact, reliable, and gives quick output â even upon power on. It wouldâve been five stars with a cleaner design and more granular data, but it’s still a good buy.

You get what you pay for
For the price itâs decent, fairly easy to use, salt meter really doesnât work. I checked it against my refractometer, it was about 2 points off, so I just adjusted my upper lower range accordingly. After 3 days, it just keeps telling me the salinity is dropping. I went from what it was reading at 30 down to 20 in 2 days. I checked the tank with my refractometer, and it hasnât changed at all. The temp is also 1.5 degrees off (I have 2 other gauges reading correctly) what I did actually buy this for was the PH, which this does read correctly, as I verified with individual testing.There is also ORP &TDS, which seem like they might be correct, but Iâm not sure as those are not high on my list of values needed. But for $80 itâs nice to see the PH on my phone. I did look for just salinity monitors, and those are running close to an average $170, so I donât think thereâs much to complain about here, but 3 stars if youâre expecting all this offers to be 100%.
