Works just like it should
Packaging was great. No damages. Water filter came with all its parts and it was already set up. It started right up as soon as I plugged it in. Filtered my 20 gallon tank perfectly. Works well and very quiet
This is an underwater filter and very quiet. it has an extremely strong stream. the suction cup feet are firmly fixed to the unit so do not pull off. The unit definitely needs to be cleaned at least every 2 weeks (at least in my tank). Very happy with this purchase

Great filter!
I purchased this to provide extra filtration and flow in my reef tank. It is affordable, has excellent flow, and the design of the filter part makes it easy to customize with different media if you want to. I am using the foam it came with, but wrapping a layer of 100 micron filter mat over it and it works perfectly.

Better than all others for a turtle filter
So this was the third one I tried for a secondary turtle tank filter, it’s better than all the others. Turtles are messy, especially large adult ones like I have so ease of maintenance is an issue with most units too but this one is really easy. it disconnects from the pump without having to take the whole thing out of the tank, it also has a smart screw on cap design making it easy to remove the sponge to clean it. Again this is important if you need to clean it frequently like every other week. Better suction cups than others too but still could be better. It is also very quiet, the others said they were but I could still hear them this one is pretty silent. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is it draws through mostly the top third of the sponge near the pump so I had to take the cover off to get it to flow all the way through so we’ll see how that works. Overall for a turtle filter way better than most others I tried that only work for baby turtles not large adult ones. No one filter on it’s own can handle a large turtle all by itself but this one helps the other not clog up as fast extending cleanings which again is needed for a big turtle.

Love these! Just purchased a new bag of them and have kept my fish tank clean! Longevity for me is about a month to almost two. I like to change mine more frequently for my fish. Pump quality is great!

Clears water but breaks fast
It works really well and left my tank clear, but after a few months it got hot and basically stopped working. Itâs a good temporary fix when you canât afford some of the more expensive filters, but it wonât last as long.

Way too strong & no adjusters
WAYYY TOO STRONG!! No setting to change the flow. I bought the one that literally had a betta on it for my 20 gallon. In no way is the filter even suitable for a betta in any sized tank. Plugged it in and *immediately* had to turn it off. Youâd think I turned on a boat motor in my tank. Literally kicked up all the muck from the bottom of the tank and even uprooted one of the plants in just the 15 seconds it was on. Would stress out any fish.

My aquarium takes 3 jet pumps and we do NOT like noise. Hence this review as I could not find any quiet pump despite all the positive comments by manufacturers and customers. All claimed of how quiet there are without any measurements taken. I have tried about 15 different jet pumps from sub pump to brushless DC pump with no satisfactory results.This one takes the cake. It measures 36 decibel at 1 meter. You can take it to your bedroom aquarium if you have one.I purchased the second one after a couple month and then the third one month later. Same result.I highly recommend this product. However this is the only size available by this manufacturer.Enjoy.As of today it is not on amazon????Apr 22 update:Excellent, it is available again. I just ordered 2 more for backup and eventually replace the other brands.Enjoy
