Easy to Setup and Use
Aquarium Water Heater … 25 watt, small ….. 1-5 gallons …. Works great in my 2 gallon mini tank …. Heats fast, maintains temperature I set … Seeing the digital readout in white, with RED dot means ‘heating’…. GREEN dot means ‘stopped’ …. Easy to see from a distanceSubmersible …. Be sure heater Bulb is totally covered in water before plugging in the cord … Out of water, it will shut off … Keep the DIGITAL Box, reading part away from water! …. Only the actual heater part, and about 6 inches of cord should ever be IN the tankTo set: Press and HOLD power button …. It will run up to 96 degrees, then back to 59 and advance up …. When you get close to temperature desired, press the UP arrow one at a time, before it stops blinking … At your number, let go … It will show the current temp of the tank now … If you press once and release, it will show the number you set it at …. (After unplugging, or power outage, it remains at the last setting you placed)Does come with directions …. Quality unit …. Very small … Works perfectly in a mini aquarium.

Nice little heater for Beata.
With the temperature cooling down outside and if you prefer a colder home and you have a beta fish, you will need to heat the tank to keep your beta happy. I am using this on a one gallon fishbowl. One issue I ran into is the round bowl doesn’t allow for the two suction cups to work very well. Luckily, my bowl has a flat vertical surface about one inch from bottom so one suction cup is able to hold it to the bowl, otherwise heater wants to float to the top because there’s more plastic than the twenty five watt heating element (minus one star). These need to sink on their own. The heating element and anti scald size is 1 inch from plastic to plastic sides. Front to back is about .75 of an inch plus the suction cup .25 equals about an inch. So roughly 1 inch square and 5 inches tall. The cord length, ypu get 7-1/2 inches from plug to controller box, then 32 inches to the heating element. To set this, you first install in tank. It will not heat out of water. Then press the set button till you select the desired temperature. Wait about 2 seconds and the number might change it will display the current water temperature. The led above the number will switch from green (temperature of water is heated to desired temperature) or to red (heating water). For one gallon of water to heat with this 25 watt heater could take 15 to 20 minutes. So set and check back. Your home temperature plays a big part in heating time. If your tank is in direct line of HVAC event It could cause more heating cycles or continuous heating. After installation monitor water levels closely, you will get more evaporation with warmer water. Mark your desired water level on tank.Heating needs to be gradual, otherwise it could be harmful to fish. My beta is extremely happy at 76 to 77. Do your research for your fish needs and precisely set. Always start at lower level and be patient. The more fish in the tank and hotter temperatures could cause bigger issues. This 25 watt is perfect for 1 to 2 gallons. Anything above 3 to 5 use the 50 watt.At 19.99 this 25 watt does the job for me.

Didnât heat
We gave it set on 80 and it wonât get it higher than 74 . In our 5 gal nano tank. I might try a higher wattage but I would have thought 50 watts sufficient. So far not impressed

Fish tank heater
Not too much to say about this fish tank heater except it is small and compact and works well. It seems to be constructed of very durable materials and I think it will hold up for quite the number of years. This heater is perfect for beta tanks and maybe nano planted tanks and fits in some tight places. It is very easy to operate and keeps the temps where I want them. It arrived on time and very well packaged and the price is right so I highly recommend them.

Works and able to maintain temperature
Used it in my quarantine 2 gallon tank. Heated it up from 60F to 70F in little over an hour and able to maintain it. Setting is in 1F increments from 59F to 92F and can only go up to cycle thru the settings. So far it works well for the small tank.

OK if you don’t need it to stay at a consistent temp
Trying to set the temp can be cumbersome. While it will heat to the temp set, once there, it will stop, cool off several degrees and then heat back up. This might not be an issue if you’re ok with the temp being with 5 degrees of what you set, but if you want it to heat to a temp and maintain that precise temp, I couldn’t get mine to do that.

Nice tank heater
This is a nice heater for small tanks. I have a small 2 gallon hospital tank for sick/separated fish and needed a small heater to keep them comfortable. This worked for me. The included instructions don’t mention anything on how to set the temperature. I have other similar heaters so setting it was fairly straight forward.1. Click the [set] button on the power cord until you reach the desired temp. You may have to cycle through to the highest setting before it restarts at lower temps.2. When you’ve reached your desired temp, it will blink a couple times letting you know this is the temp it will work towards.3. It then displays the current tank temp on the power cord. The light will be red as it’s heating.4. Once the desired temp has been reached, the light will show as green. One thing to think about is that it tends to stay within a range. What I mean, is that I set the temp for 79 and it would heat to 80 then stop, the temp would drop to 76 and then it would heat back to 80. This is not an issue for me as I don’t need an exact temp but just something to be aware of from my experience. I deducted a star for that because it took me a couple minutes to trust the heater. All in all this heater works for me. I took off a star for the limited instructions but hopefully someone will find my instructions helpful.
