Great value! *Expands in dryer*
Great value for a filter. I’m using it for my airbrush booth so cutting in half gives me 2 filters for the price of one! It’s a couple inches short front to back but still covers the vent grated so it should work out ok for protecting the fan.These do come vaccume sealed which means it will be very flat and thin when you open it. Took the advice of another review and popped it in the dryer for a few min. Fluffed it right up. There are still creases but perhaps if I left it in longer it would help.

Works as an air filter too.
This can be an upgrade on other cloth dust filters or those sponges. It’s also economical and can be scissor cut if you use heavy duty kitchen shears. My CPAP filter is even thinner so I replaced it with this to keep dust out of the machine. It’s soft and plyable. You can make many small filters with this saving you a lot of money over the crappy stuff cut to fit.

NOT 1.5 inches thick
According to the Amazon website, this filter pad is supposed to be 1.5 inches thick, but it comes in a vacuum sealed pack and was about 1/4 inch think on arrival. I have used ALL the techniques suggested by manufacturer ( in enclosure “How to restore the aquarium filter pad to its original state after being placed in the vacuum environment”) and it is STILL only 1/2 inch think. It may still work, but it is NOT as described on the website. I also tried tossing it in the dryer for 30 minutes on low heat, and that doesn’t restore the original thickness either.

Read dimensions, good quality and easy to clean.
A lot smaller than I anticipated. It did its job and served the purpose it was intended for. Considering the price I shouldnât complain as it is fairly good quality. I purchased this to surround a submersible pump for a duck pond filter and it definitely filled up quickly with pond muck. I did get a chance to clean it once and seemed to pretty much just rinse out. For the most part anyway. If buy a larger one in the future, but all in all pretty okay product.

Got this for my nano tank, i cut strips to go around my sponge an it worked, cleaned my water up, I did give it a quick rinse before adding to my filtration.

Flat Filter Media
I ordered this more for a craft project and figured that I would use the remaining for my fish filter when I was done.When I received it was packaged in a vacuum sealed bag and very flat.I removed from the bag, and it stayed flat.Frustrated because I really needed this to finish the project I got it wet and tossed it in the dryer on an air setting.After doing this twice, I did manage to get most of it to fluff back up to the 1″ thickness, but there were still some flat spots.Other filter media that I have ordered in the past comes in a roll and is equally fluffy.Not sure if the other flat spots will fluff out when wet, or how well it will filter if flat in my tank filter.
