Just as described
Not sure how “hydrated” I felt afterwards, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt.Although I personally disliked the flavor and texture, I bought this for emergencies only and it definitely packs better than pouches of water.

Trying to find something that stays useable.
Not the best tasting but if it stays functional after being in a car trunk for a year in Texas it works for me . Has an orange taste that’s ok.

It works as advertised!
Great if you are older and need to be hydrated but can’t afford drinking fluids (no need to urinate). Texture and taste are not very good, but it works.

Slightly gritty gel is interesting but doesn’t seem that much better than packing water.
This hydration gel seems fine. The flavor is like a bland tangerine pip and a little gritty. Ultimately, even if this does hydrate well, the hydration is limited to the amount of water each tube can hold. So, after trying this, it’s fine. But because of the cost and limited amount of water in each, it just seems simpler to include actual water in the survival kit. But this could be good for some kits where you weren’t going to include that much water and don’t want the larger size of a water bottle in the kit.

When Kids need a boost of electrolytes in the heat.
These work great for kids in athletics when they need a boost.

Tastes good, weird texture
The Gel comes in individual tubes about a finger length long, the tubes feel of typical quality for like a MRE foodstuffs. The packets are easy to open with a tear. The taste is alright, a bit refreshing, seems a bit gritty in my mouth though, the texture is like as you’d expect, a jelly or gel, not the most enjoyable, but its about supplementing hydration so Its just how it is. I recommend keeping a few in your go-bags or hiking just incase, especially when youre on the run in this summer heat.

Great for a emergency kit.
I ordered these hydration packs to go in my hurricane preparedness bag. They have a strange orange taste, but in an emergency, they are essential. They are packaged really well and have a long expiration date of 4 years.

Taste good, and super convenient
Very convenient means to electrolytes in an emergency. Or in my case, during clearing property. I shred with a tractor, but have to get off and move debris/chainsaw dead deadfall. The taste is best when cooled in a cooler. I didn’t feel dehydrated all day, or the next. Bags are sealed well, and the orange flavor isn’t overwhelming like a Quencher can be. I feel its a little costly for what they are, USDA approved hydration gel packs. I could see this being a must-have for desert terrain hiking/biking/camping though. Really depends on the situation. And its always best to be prepared.
