taking care of my Prize Frontosa
this heater has and is doing its job. i like how it looks in my tank. i especially love how quickly it got my tank to its correct temp (my take is a 200gl) and i especially love the temp controller display. it displays the temp i want and the temp that the water is currently at. great buy. now lets see how long it will work as my tank is over 20yrs old as well as some of my fish!!

Recommend
Item shipped fast. Have it in a 200 gallon tank for hydro dipping takes about 2-3 days to get it up to temp but holds good very good quality. Very easy to use.

Don’t let the control box get wet
The heater worked better than I expected. The instructions specifically say the control module has to be kept dry. Since this was for my OUTSIDE koi and tropical fish pond, I placed the control module in a plastic bag to keep it dry. Unfortunately, the bag turned over during a rain storm and water got into it. Pfat! The control module fried itself. I took it apart and dried it with a hair dryer to no avail. My bad…the heater was great until it died. I’ve already ordered another one.

Great, easy use, low visibility
Good so far, moved fish from 80 to a 375gal outdoor and it was at about 47…this thing came in today and I had a 500w and 300w at 76..took forever to get to 50 and stayed til past sun up. Put this in, set to 68. Took about 5 or 6 ours but it’s at 65° already, very nice. Fish are moving out now and much more movement from them even at rest. Very good product, very good price. 800w for 220g and will add 500w for 150.10 goldies, 3 snails, no death from the temp change yesterday. ( I had holder tank at 68, dropped to 52 over 8 hours while warming to 50 from 47) and big pond was 50 @ switch) so they were had a cold day, friend.Only problem is digital display is cloudy looking through the plastics texture

Shipped and works as advertised
I’ve owned it for a few months now and it has been working as advertised. I have it in an outdoor 75 gal pond. My fish made it through the winter in warm water

Incorrect product description—not for a 300gallon tank
The heating capacity on the box states the heater is for 105-238 gallon. The description for the heater online stated it is for a much bigger tank. We had an emergency around Thanksgiving and needed a new heater. We had no choice but to use it in a smaller temporary tank. Now we have to buy another one to fit the bigger tank.

Works as expected
The only con I’ve found is when the power goes out it resets the temperature to 82 for some reason.. every time. That’s way to warm for my fish that like to be kept at 76/78

Do not buy
Experienced aquarium hobbyist here. This heater worked less than 24 hours in a sump pump setup. It tripped every single GFCI protected outlet that I tried plugging it into. Turns out one of the heating tubes was broken and would short out every time it was submerged in water. A complete waste of money, will not buy again.

We are using it for a 6 foot by 3 foot stick tank pool. Feels like bath water after a few hours. I imagine it would be very quick for a smaller body of water. Highly recommended, very easy to operate.

I ordered one of these heaters from Aqqa and was having an issue with maintaining an even temperature. I contacted Aqqa and were very receptive and concerned about the well being of my fish. They gave me a couple of things to try that unfortunately didnât fix the problem. They immediately shipped a replacement no questions asked. Going forward I will by any product offered by this company.

This is on 24/7 itâs hot and works great!!!! Howeverâ¦.. I think there maybe a short as Iâve found that it will beep and flash/stop working with no reason. I have it hung so the drip line keeps the controls from getting wet . I have to unplug and plug it in again to get it going happens every couple of weeks. It is fully submerged in a garbage can of water so itâs never the water level. It does get hot tho! I may have just gotten a bit of a dud .
