Extra filter attached! Remove B4 use!
Many are saying it doesn’t look like the photo. There are TWO (2) filters on the item. You need to take the cap off and pull off the top filter before using. It’s a nice addition to my 30 gal tank. I honestly prefer it to my air stone. The Air stone always got gunked up from any algae and it wouldn’t come off the stone. It is a little noisy with the big air bubbles coming to the surface but I don’t mind it. Great purchase just remember it has 2 filters and it doesn’t come with an air pump. Replacement is suggested every 6 months.

I have a filter for my 60 gallon tank but that wasnât enough so I also added this and it makes such a difference!! It cleared up my water within a couple days and itâs easy to clean and install. The pumps not included to run it though

Has enough weight to stay on the bottom of the tank and not move. Very quiet and looks good. The air hose goes in the top. Wish they would have a port on the side so you can hide the air hose. Definitely worth it though.

A great value for a versatile little filter.
This is a really nice filter at a really good price point. It has three levels of filtration, each of which could be customized for your particular needs. It’s comes pre-loaded with two sponge sections and one section for bio-media. That configuration should work well for most people. The unit is clear, so it should be easy to see when cleanings are needed. At the bottom of the unit is an intake adjustment, so you could make your output stronger or weaker depending on your fishes needs. It also has different options for the output, including a “fountain” style with will cause less disruption inside the tank.It advertises 200 GPH. I have to way to confirm that, but it seems to move a lot of water when adjusted to the fully opened position.I don’t know that this would be sufficient as the lone filter in a mid to large tank but for a smaller tank, this would certainly get the job done. Where I think this filter would really excel would be for use as a secondary filter in a tank that already has a primary filter. Then you could swap the bio-media out for some filter floss and use this unit strictly as a water polisher and let your main filter handle most of the bio filtration duties.Can’t speak to the longevity of the unit yet, but if it lasts a while, this is a steal for a small additional filter. My only somewhat knock against it is that they chose to make them white instead of black. So it stands out in the tank more than I’d like personally. Other than that, a great filter option.

Great Filter!!!
Very impressed with this filter. It has ample area for beneficial bacteria to grow in the two foam chambers and single ball chamber. The filter is quiet and I like the nozzle with multiple streams of flowing water thay helps encourage well oxygenated water. Production of the filter appears solid and durable. It functions great.

Looks nothing like the pictures
I chose to buy this sponge filter for my aquarium because of its appearance. Based on the product’s pictures, it appeared that it would be more aesthetically appealing than the typical shaped sponge filter. But this thing looks nothing like the pictures. The sponge is deformed and unappealing. I will be returning this product.

Cheaply Made Filter
This filter looks and feels cheaply made. The individual compartments were too difficult for me to open and assemble on my own. It does say “press hard” on each chamber, but boy, I couldn’t do it without help from my son. Since I’m the only one servicing our 5 fish tanks I ended up not using it. While the concept is great and it may work well in terms of functionality, I won’t be able to have a strong hand to assist me every time it needs to be cleaned. Sadly, no go for me.

Great filter, convenient configuration options, recommend
I always approach reviews of things like this where they have to be used continuously for an extended period of time with a bit of hesitancy. It’s extremely frustrating to rely on something and have it fail. That has not been the case here.This filter has worked spectacularly for me. I’ve been extremely happy with how well it is performing. And the adjustable arm for the water output has also been nice and fun to place where I want it. I have it slightly above the water so it creates a lot of microbubbles and maximizes the oxygenation of the water.I managed to make the water really cloudy after moving around a bunch of stuff in my tank and this filter really made quick work or clearing up the water. Again, very happy with it.
