Super purchase for the health of your fish!
I am a huge fan of these rechargeable air pumps. We have power outages due to hurricane and storm activity. Having a 2 line pump attached to sponge filters could save the lives of your tanks inhabitants. It gives me piece of mind to know that my fish will have oxygen and water agitation if the power goes out.Biggest pro: They are QUIET! The AQQA brand air pumps are my favorite. I have 5 of them now, and they are all super quiet. I cannot say that for the fist pump I bought when I got back into the hobby. It was an AquaTop that I paid too dollar for and ended up having to build a housing container for it loaded with poly fill to try and reduce the vibration sound. These AQQA air pumps are quiet out of the box and I have been using them for months now. Get the peace of mind without paying a ton of money. These work great.

Lifesaver
I purchased this air pump specifically in case of a power outage. I have two 10 gallon aquariums. One saltwater, one fresh. I like the fact that this has two tube ports so I donât have to split the tubing and reduce the air pressure for both tanks. Although I have a heavy duty aerator that runs air into both tanks, I wanted a battery back up in the event of power loss. Well, yesterday it was tested. My power went out while I was at work and the aerator kept going. It was out for about 4 hours and this kept my fish alive and unharmed. It is very quiet compared to my other air pumps. The amount of air it pumps can be adjusted by pressing a button. I run this consistently on low while plugged in. When the power is removed, it automatically switches to high unless you lower it again. It is small enough to sit behind my tank. Definitely worth the money!

It works well..for backup
I never knew about a power out pump for my fish tank.. i was watching video. And with all the storms taking out power. I thought of my 3 fish tanks. So i bought these one. It is so powerful it runs both air filters in my 95 gallon hex tank!! Unbelievable! A small pocket size battery powered.. i am very happy and it works when power goes out.. not sure how long. But it works! Great product.

Bought 4 and only 2 work out of the box. Over 3 month to replace. Buyer beware!
Bought 4 of these. Only 2 work out of the box. Plug in and nothing happens except blue lights on top flash frantically. I asked for a replacement and was given December 31st as a replacement date.Thats is about 3 1/2 months. I donât have time to be running to a store to return by return date deadline and then wait months for a product with a 50% failure rate. Into the garbage they go. Do yourselves a favor and penny up for the Aquarium Coop dual pumps with battery backup. All 6 of mine have worked perfectly.

Quiet and efficient
Works great, our power goes out quite alot and it stays on during outages. Looks sleek and has a clip to hang on back of aquarium and It comes with 1 way check valves and an airstone . THE ONLY reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it comes with a cheap airline tubing which pops off all the time I’m going to have to replace it soon. Other than the tubing I would definitely recommend. The pump is strong and quiet.

A great little pump, I use it in a large bucket approx 5 gallons where I’m growing some lotus plants from seeds I acquired recently. I use it on the 25% intermittent setting but it lasts four days easily and recharges in a few hours. Virtually silent running is a great bonus, the sounds of bubbles is quite relaxing and it does a great job.

Works brilliantly!! I tend to switch it on during the day at the plug and then turn the plug off overnight and let the battery run it overnight (battery still going in the morning) the battery use has a gentler stream of bubbles than being plugged in..I use it on level 1 during the day and up to level 2 at night on battery. Was very easy to put together.

IMO this is one of the best air pumps with battery backup on the market.It stays on without manual intervention during a power cut (seems obvious but some models I’ve tried don’t) and amazingly is whisper quiet!It also has decent air flow and battery life with an intermittent mode for pro-longed operation.Will be replacing the backup airpumps on all my aquariums with this model
