The instructions are clear and the color chart is easy to read, even for beginners. Just like computer monitors many of us see color differently which is the inherent draw back of this type of testing. But again, there is nothing else on the market at this kind of price point which can give you enough information to correct and adjust your key water parameters.If you’re just starting out in this wonderful hobby, you’ll master using this kit in no time and it will help you maintain a healthy and flourishing aquarium. Highly Recommend for Any Fish Owner, Great Price, Remember to Dispose of Properly.
This product is essential to any aquarium owner. When I was fishless cycling for a betta fish, I used this to test my water every 2 days to watch for the spikes in ammonia and nitrites. The test kit is very high quality, with glass test tubes, full coverage plastic test tube tops, large amounts of chemicals, and detailed instructions on how to perform each test. Even after now, when I have a fish in the tank, I like to test the water once a week to make sure that all of the parameters are still in check. Even though $25 may seem like a lot to spend on a test kit that does not include the chemicals to fix your problem, it is so worth the money to know and pinpoint exactly what is wrong with your water, and to prolong the life of your fish. Something to keep in mind though, these chemicals are corrosive, dangerous, and highly concentrated in the bottle, so if you have small children in your household, keep this product out of reach. The bottles do have child-locking apparatuses on them, but can still be accidentally opened. Although these chemicals are labelled with caution messages in the instruction booklet, I have gotten some on clothes, and my hands, and have never gotten a rash or damaged clothes. If you do spill on yourself, make sure to calmly rinse the chemical off with water.When figuring out how to dispose of the chemicals, I was unsure how to do so safely, and I read that other people have put their DILUTED test results straight down their drains (even if they had a well), but personally, I feel better dumping them outside and rinsing inside. Either way works, but make sure when dumping out solution that it is diluted with water, as this is much less harmful to wells/the environment. With diluted test results, the chemicals change into another chemical, making the original solution much much more highly toxic than your new concentration. If you want to dump out the chemicals straight from the bottle, make sure to take them to your waste facility in order to properly dispose of them.Overall, this is a great product and essential to anyone who would want to prolong the life of their fish by knowing the quality of their water.

A must for aquarium and biofloc maintenance. Please mind that this kit is salt water or high ph kit, hence you will receive only high ph testing reagent. If you require low ph testing reagent, then go for fresh water testing kit.Although high range ph testing provide you with results from 7 and higher ph, which is enough to serve the purpose of aquarium and biofloc (since 7-8 ph is necessary to maintain).Overall good product.
