    Fish saver
This has saved a few of my fish lives so far. I was dealing with redness along the fins where they meet the body and red gills and I was pretty skeptical this would work. I have been doing them one by one in a hospital tank with the four day treatment and it works! The thing that’s irritating is a ten pack- it’s a 4 day treatment, 10 is not divisible by 4. And the packs are not very cheap.Definitely do this in a hospital tank as it stains the water. If you don’t have one, look for an aquarium club in your city and people always have extra tanks and equipment for cheap.

Worked for severe fin rot/open wound healing but lacks some information in the directions
This product works well. I bought this for my black moor who had severe fin rot with open wound.I will say, when doing this treatment or any other treatment to fast your fish for a week. That part is not stated in the directions for treatment (of this product or bother product). Otherwise it makes the quality of the water even worse with the medication and food bacteria together. It will also prolong the healing process because the food bacteria works against the medication making the medication less potent for your fish. You also have to pay close attention and do some math for the dosing measurements. I had a 5 gallon hospital tank so a whole packet (recommended 1 packet dosage for a 10 gallon tank was too much – so I had to divide it in half). You will see slight surface foam when treating but that goes away after a day or so. The water also gets tinted with a reddish/pinkish hue.I also did a 50% tank change instead of the recommended 25%Now I will say this – it worked well for healing the open wound part – but not knowing (initially) about not feeding during treatment left me frustrated and feeling like it wasn’t working so well or as fast as it should. I did end up switching over to Melafix to finish treatment process. Depending on the severity of the illness of your fish – time, patience, research specific to your fish, figuring out proper dosage measurements to the size of your hospital tank and constant changes of water will help them get back to normal.

    On the fence…
The product seemed to work with the first dose, which is 2 days of adding the powder. Fish definitely feels better, but when we did the water change and added the second dose I started noticing that there was more blood in her fin, and on her back near her tail… Bumps on the fin, as well as peeling skin near her tail… So I called the fish store near me and they said to do a 50% water change instead of 25% and put the carbon filter in. Already noticed improvement in the Fin and tail by diluting the treatment… Frankly I used less than what was called for on both doses. Concerned about overdosing.. also when they said the treatment causes water to turn this slightly yellow, her water was more like a dark brown, which was concerning too… Still having some issues, but doing better, so I’m going to use a different medication that was suggested to me… So as I said, I’m on the fence because she is doing a little bit better, but that seemed to stop at a certain point, and created more issues externally.. the photo I submitted shows the color of the water now which is quite a bit lighter than it was. This is the color of the water after a 50% water change and using a carbon filter… I have a feeling it’s going to be a long time before the water color gets back to normal…

    Works
We tried a LOT of things before this but none of them worked (tried changing the water PH, tried the fin oil, tried erythromycin, etc.). We opted to move the fish to a big bin to avoid staining things in the tank and give more water for the medication and so it was a little bit of a pain but I will say that it actually resolved the fish’s issue. We have a beautiful red and blue beta fish and the tail started to have problems, started to eventually wear away and then started to tear. We thought that it may be too late to fix the fish’s fins but this actually worked. By the time it went back into the tank you couldn’t really see an improvement but over the next few weeks the fish returned to a vibrant color with the fins improving and it seemed more alive. We will use this again when needed.

Saw improvement in the first 24 hrs!
My 3 Goldfish had been acting super lethargic and I had originally thought it was ick, but when only one of them seemed to improve I took a closer look and realized it was fin rot and that one of them also seemed to have red patches on his body. I was afraid that I’d be too late in starting the fin rot treatment but low and behold after the first 24 hrs they were already swimming around and searching for food again. As long as you follow the instructions, and you’re not too late, you should get happy healthy fish once again. I’ve completed the treatment now but one of them still appears to have a bit of fin rot still so I plan on doing another dose tomorrow if it’s still there. Fair warning, it does make the water look awful. Can barely see through it but it doesn’t seem to bother the fish so a few water changes and fresh filter should do the trick.

used after seeing American YouTuber recommend but sadly I believe UK market version is very different to USA which is where it’s actually from. This is based off of results and packaging. I did see a slight improvement in my fish health but I do believe multiple boxes of these would be required to completely solve a mild fish aillment. so you are better off using other medicines. Does come conveniently packaged in sachets with clear instructions and doesn’t affect water quality or clarity. The sachets make it very easy to use but I have to say value for money and effectiveness is mediocre. Sad as I am a hugr fan of the API brand, but this is not the product for me.
