I bought this for my 3 year old grand-daughter and me to play with TOGETHER. It’s not the kind of eductaional toy that you would just hand to a child and walk away, expecting them to entertain themselves with it. You will need to INTERACT with your child to make this toy fun. That’s a GOOD think, take it from a marriage and family therapist! These flash cards have a really “basic” old-school simplicity to them, as if the exact same product could have been sold in 1960. That’s part of their charm. My husband looked at hem and said “but don’t kids do stuff like that on cell phones and other gadgets these days?” Ya I suppose they do, or could. But I say UNPLUG and have some face-time with your little one! These cards will give you something to talk about. They’re a fun change of pace from a storybook.
