Heat lamp holder
The heat lamp holder works fine the cords could be a little bit longer works great but be careful it does get very hot on the outside and I have had to buy repeat bulbs because they burn out so fast

I ordered this particular lamp holder despite the spattering of negative comments. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this unit when I opened it. I was planning to use a new Mecury Vapor lamp and wanted as much cooling as possible and was delighted to see that the “apron” or lamp shade, if you will, was a separate piece. So I just left it off and my bulb gets total air flow and this should help extend the useful life of the bulb. I made a right angle hook to suspend the prior set of lampshades and this unit’s two hook points worked just perfect with the addition of a small “S” hook. I’m very pleased with this unit’s construction and as a Retired Electronics Engineer I can attest that at least my unit was well spec’ed, carefully assembled and seems very high quality all around. Highly recommended!

Nice Hood
Simple, easy design. The hood is larger than expected so don’t expect a small, out-of-the-way item. It’s highly noticeable. Depending on your set up, it may stand out.Made from aluminum so it is light weight. It also means it can be easily damaged. Mine came bent a little, but not enough to affect its function.I would definitely buy another if the need arises.

Don’t buy
Bought this 3 months ago and one of the sides already stopped working. The switch has no click to it, its like liquid when trying to click, which means it burnt out the inside elements.
