I thought it was the cable that wasn’t working well, but turns out my batteries were just really old and were not utilizing the cable as expected. I changed out the battery for a new one, and so far 3 days straight, my battery is still at 100% even with all the alerts from linked devices I get.

Nope, wrong one.
I set it up and wired my doorbell to it. Nothing. Un hooked it, checked it out with a currency light and it lit up. Hooked it up again – still nothing. Checked it with a meter and realized it wasn’t powered high enough to do a SimpliSafe door bell. I started my project 30 days after getting the item and didn’t send it back for that reason. Money not well spent.
