Very Quiet and Strong Flow
This is one of the better pumps that I have purchased over the years. It is very strong water flow and volume.If I had one criticism, it would be that the flow cannot be turned down enough for our particular application. I had to get a hose clamp to slow down the flow a bit.

Pump works well in my smallish outdoor fountain. My only complaint it that it doesn’t shut off when the water level gets low, as it claims to do. I know when the water level is low from the screaming of the motor. I haven’t let it scream long enough to find out if it will eventually shut off yet, and I don’t want to find out the hard way.

Perfect replacement for my rock fountain
I used this to replace my existing Alpine 180gph pump having worn out after about 5 years of mostly constant running.I don’t know if the 200gph rating is accurate, but it pumps at least the same as the 180gph it replaced, and is just as quiet as that one was, so no complaints. Whether or not it’s any quieter than any other fountain pump on Amazon, I have no idea. I imagine they’re all pretty close. This one isn’t labeled Alpine, but it looks identical – Probably is.A lot of sellers play with marketing hyperbole, (like ‘ultra quiet” and “dry burning protection”) I’m pretty sure this one is no exception. But it works fine, that’s the main thing.

Works great on my fountain!
I have an outdoor fountain that I put in the front yard every summer. This year the pump decided not to work. I tried to find one locally but was unable to. Ordered this one, installed it, and I have my fountain again! The birds are grateful since it was such a hot, dry summer! Works great. Minimum fuss to install. Packaged nicely.

Easy to use, held up even with low water
I was given a small birdbath fountain this year, which needed a new pump. I picked this one because of the “dry burning protection” plus the good price. I used it June through mid-October, and it worked great! Even when the fountain got low on water several times during the heat of summer. It just needed a cleaning out a few times…I didn’t take it apart all summer, just wiped off the intake port and it worked fine. I did clean it more thoroughly when storing for winter.It’s got pretty good power! The fountain spray (through a small hose) shot up as much as 6 inches. Should work next summer too.

Cheap pump defective product
Second pump of this brand first one never worked second one worked for two days for 4 hours. I would not recommend this pump. Very cheap and defective product. Moved a 600 pound fountain to replace the motor only for it to break after two uses.

Something that is not mentioned, except in the included instruction manual, is that this pump must be submerged at least a couple of inches below the surface of the water. So not good for shallow fountains.
