Great value. Filters fabulously – Quiet! Can customize media.
I have had this for over a month. It does a fantastic job on my 20 gallon tank and keeps it crystal clear. Pretty quiet. I filled the 3 different sections with different filter media. I liked that i could do that. At first i tried just putting filter media inside filter without using compartments, but it didnt work so well. So finally decided to just fill the 3 compartments with my own adaptations of filter media, using sponges, pot scrubbies, poly fill (from pillow), charcoal carbon, ceramic balls, and purigen (in a little zippered pouch). I love that i could customize it the way that i wanted to. Noise level is zero. It functions perfectly and i love the surface skimmer. At first it was noisy until i figured out that the filtered compartments werent snapped in and they were rattling. Great filter for the price. Just cleaned it today, was very easy to clean, and its doing a fantastic job. Enclosed is a video of my tank. Perfect HOB size filter for my 20 gallon tank. Now if it lasts a year i will be happier than i am right now. Overall very pleased with this purchase.

I’ve had it for almost a month and so far it’s surpassed my expectations. The skimmer works well, it has kept the top layer of the water film free. It really is ultra quiet, which I think is a huge plus. Obviously this depends on your water level, but if you have it so that it’s pouring very close to the water line it’s really quiet. If you can hear it, tweaking the valve at the top seems to fix it for me. I haven’t done any customization to the filters, but I like that there’s an option for that since you can put whatever you want into the canister. Setup was pretty simple, had clear enough instructions for me to figure it out. Overall really happy with the product, when I set up another tank I will definitely be using this filter.

Lo compré para mi nuevo acuario y en general estoy muy satisfecho.
Llevo usándolo aprox más de 3 meses. El filtro es potente, silencioso y el tanque para almacenar material biológico es bastante grande (compré el tamaño más grande). Sin embargo, tuve un inconveniente con el flujo del agua dentro de los compartimientos: el agua llegaba bien al primer tanque, pero no con suficiente fuerza a los dos últimos. Esto provocó que el material biológico no se mantuviera correctamente oxigenado y terminé teniendo una pérdida parcial de bacterias benéficas, lo que generó un pico de amonio y un pequeño desequilibrio en el acuario.Como solución, decidà retirar los contenedores internos y colocar el material filtrante directamente dentro del tanque principal, lo que mejoró mucho el flujo y el rendimiento. Además, esto me permitió usar diferentes tipos de medios filtrantes a mi gusto.En conclusión: lo recomiendo mucho por su capacidad, bajo nivel de ruido y versatilidad, solo hay que tener en cuenta ajustar la disposición interna del material biológico para asegurar un flujo de agua uniforme.

SUPER LOUD AND WAY TO STRONG FOR A BETTAI bought this for my 10 gallon planted betta tank and it worked well for about a week. The filter then started to make this annoying buzzing sound. The quality is also horrible with the skimmer not even working. Will be returning

Good filter for the price.
I needed a quick hang on back filter. While I was waiting for my primary HOB to come in. I used it for about two weeks. With the support of sponge filters. I have to say for a 20 something dollar filter. I was quite happy with it. Sorry I didnât take any pictures of it when it was on the tank.

Just plugged two of them in, and they were quick and easy to assemble. I like the ability to easily swap out the media in the filter compartments. The individual compartments will also make it easy to clean, which I’m thankful for. Immediately there was debris being caught by the pre filter. You can easily adjust the flow which is great! The surface skimmer is nice to keep the surface water moving. Overall, for the first day of use I’m very impressed with the functionality, and especially for the price! ð Will likely purchase more! 🙂

I have a ten gallon tank and one of the things i love , i can adjust the flow of the water ! Its super quiet and I love the skimmer which cleans the surface of the water . The price is great , for fifteen bucks its arguably the best filter I’ve ever had ! Thanks for a great filter !
