500ct Live Giant Mealworms are healthy and yummy for reptiles, birds, fish. 1 to 1 1/2 inch long. For their well being we pack/ship our worms LOOSE in newspaper. When in a confined space worms generate heat, this keeps them from rubbing against each other and get too hot and die also it’s food source during their trip, it’s a little harder to get them unpack, but its much safer way to ship. Just place the box inside a larger box before shaking them out. In the event you need worm food/bedding they are available for sale on Amazon for $10.99 for 1 lb. includes shipping. It’s the same food we feed our Mealworms Giants and Superworms. Just put in listing number B007KO6512.

Healthy worms!!!
Most of the worms were good size and healthy! A few were small and about 10 of them were dead. Considering there was 500, I was very happy with purchase!! Ordered again so will see if second batch is as good.

If I could give zero stars I would! All the mealworms are dead. I grabbed them from the outside of the mailbox within minutes of them being left there and placed them immediately in refrigerator before attempting to transfer to another container . I order mealworms and super worms all the time and these arrived dead. Completely dead. They arenât the greatest looking either. I get we run the risk of shipping these during summer months, however knowing this an ice pack should have dr least been placed in the box. what a shame . Not happy at all.

Hi there. I debated even writing this and maybe I missed something. I did have to contact the seller once and they were very nice and responsive; which is why I put 3 stars. Maybe I got a bad batch. But I felt the need to at least put this out there. We had received our package⦠But whenever weâve bought meal worms in the past, which had always been in person, they needed to be refrigerated. When we received our package, there was nothing in the box to keep them cool or warm, just them in a fabric bag that was leaking something stinky through. I read in the description and I believe when I spoke with the seller they mentioned something to keep them warm. I donât know much about meal worms. But we always bought them at a pet store in the prior state we lived in-for a year and they were always refrigerated, never smelled and kept great for our gecko. We just havenât been able to find them here yet. So we tried online. They were in a fabric bag that was partially opened inside the box. Not newspaper as it states they would be sent. It smelled like death when I opened it and some of them had gotten out of the opened fabric bag. I should have taken a picture but it was so overwhelming we were all gagging. We moved them to the proper container and a few days later we went to use them – even though we were skeptical. We immediately had to throw them all away as there was so much mold created in the bottom and so many little flies flying around in the container. It was so gross. So, like I said I could have just gotten something wrong or ordered wrong or something the wrong way. We live in a very hot state and they came a day late but I donât think that would have really mattered. But unfortunately we wonât be purchasing again. We also had a lot of stuff black worms in there, lots of shedding from the worms. It wasnât great. It is a bummer because itâs a great amount and price I felt.

This is the 1st time I ordered meal worms for my Beardie from this company. It was scheduled for delivery Jan 2 or 3. I received them early by at least 3 days. When I opened the package I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve ordered from other vendors and received tiny worms that were supposed to large and quite a few dead. All the meal worms were still alive and were Giant as labeled. I’ll definitely be ordering again.

Finally cool weather comes!!
Because I live in Florida, I’ve had bad experiences with receiving DOA worms in the past. So I had to plan my purchase around the temperature. We had a cold front come in and I saw my opportunity so I purchased 500 giant mealworms. They shipped quickly and we received great condition. With minimal dead worms and only one darkling beetle. Very excited and happy about my purchase, will definitely buy again (during the cooler winter months) lol… My daughter is leopard gecko is very happy these worms are much better then the pet shop worms!
