Works great!
The mesh is stiff (which is good so it doesnât collapse). However, if you have a few minutes after you open the pkg, you need to use warm water to take the shipping creases out of the mesh otherwise it wonât bubble properly like itâs supposed to.Iâd like to see a small opening to pull the tuft of hair out above the eyes.I used it while doctoring an eye injury and it worked great! Yes, Iâd purchase again.

This has been a good fly mask for our horses. I have a big horse and this one fits perfectly! The material is sewn well and not too thick as to keep him cooler.Ranger….who is one of our horses doesn’t like ANY fly mask but seemed okay once we got it on him.Wasn’t hard to put in….he was being arrogant!We like to use these because flys will tear their ears up and flys can cause eye infections .I chose the pretty gray and he looks so handsome wearing it.The mesh net that covers the eyes is somewhat big.We will watch to make sure that it doesn’t rub his eyes because they are quite large.The netted ear covers fit perfectly!The costs of this fly mask is way below average so this is a very good price. I gave it a 4 star rating due to the eye nets being a little big.Very happy!

Stitching is faulty, stitches popped when I tried it on horse, mesh is stiff
First thing I noticed when I took the fly mask out of the bag is it was single stitched on the hems which doesnât bode well for durability, and the stitches were wonky like the sewing machine wasn’t threaded correctly. I could hear at least one stitch pop when I tried it on the horse. It was easy to put on and fit well, but the mesh over the eyes was stiff and hard to make it fully convex, so some of it was hitting his eyes. There was no forelock hole so I had to just tuck his forelock in. Also, there is no tag anywhere on the mask to indicate the brand, size, or care instructions.

I thought i ordered âHorse sizeâ at the time, but appears everything online says âCobâ which does explain the way it fit. My Quarter Horse takes âHorse sizeâ for most things. Putting on this Cob fly mask i was really happy to see he had plenty of room for his ears and eyes. It was really easy to put on. The nose part was a bit tighter w/ his thick quarter horse head, thatâs where a cob head it would definitely fit better on. Many of my friends LOVE trail riding in these fly masks. The material is really smooth and comfortable, fits great under a bridle. Nice flexible mesh on the ears. The mesh around eyes is stiffer to stay out of the eyes after getting rearranged appropriately.

I know some people enjoy the thicker, stiffer type of masks, but I love something flexible and moldable. There’s no annoying velcro or weird pokey corners. The mask fits your average-sized horse and could also fit something smaller. The sizing is incredibly flexible. The plethora of eye space allows plenty of visibility while also providing fashionable fly protection. It hugs their cheeks well for a snug, soft fit.

The size fits my large horse perfectly. We needed a fly mask that didn’t have velcro because he is a rescue and freaks at the sound of velcro. This was a great alternative! It keeps the flies off of his eyes and ears effectively and seems pretty durable. It is a soft material and is very stretchy. I think it’s worth the money. The only down fall is since there’s no strap it’s easy for them to get off. My gelding leaves it on but my mare gets it off in about 5 minutes.
