Exactly what I needed and better than I expected
Great price for this lamp stand. Easy to assemble and function. I didn’t want my heart lamp laying screen because the temps were getting too hot but not hot enough with lower watt bulb. I was able to adjust the arm for distance to get my temps just right. Base goes under the stand and it comes with the hook to hang. Very pleased.

This is the one you want . . .
There are so many of these being sold on Amazon, but this one stands apart from the others for its versatility. The extra attachments allow for you to mount your lamp in multiple ways, and at the same price as the others just like it. They are made of cheap plastic, which was a little disappointing, but I think they will do the job, as long as you have a metal cover over the water of your tank.There are other reasons I chose this one. Its pole is thick and stable, there is a hook for the lamp, and cord clips for added safety and appearance.

Good, but I wish it was more adjustable.
Overall, its a decent heat lamp stand, and works exactly as pictured. The adjustability is limited: you could use 1 or 2 poles instead of 3 to make it shorter, and the neck does flatten out to lower the lamp by a few inches. For my setup, 3 poles is a little too tall, 2 poles is way too short, and I have to really flatten the neck to get the right height. Be sure to compare the measurements to your setup to ensure compatibility. I really banked on the height being more adjustable than it actually is.The neck swivels, so I can push the lamp out of the way to access the cage, then easily swing it back into place.I like the wire clips that keep the cord secured and out of the way. I also like the hook that holds the lamp securely. No clips or clamps that can slip, sag, or let go over time. I have much more peace of mind knowing that I wont burn my house down or injure my pet with this setup.The flat base is sturdy, and much better than a tripod-type base. It slides under the cage stand so that the lamp can be centered.

Versatile stand
This is an affordable stand for hanging a light in places where there is no place to hang one. I like that you can adjust the general height of the stand by leaving out pole sections. This gives me more options in how I can use it. You do need to pay attention when assembling the pole sections to make sure that the threaded connector stays centered in the pole pieces. If you are not careful, you could end up with the connector threaded mostly into just one side, and the other side literally hanging on by a single thread.The base is very low profile, and the kit comes with rubber feet to put under the terrarium to lift it up a bit so you can slide the base under it. It also has a plastic ring that goes around the pole and can be attached to the terrarium to insure that the pole doesn’t accidentally tip over. The kit also comes with a plastic desk or wall mount bracket as well if the weighted stand doesn’t work for you.The hook arm is kind of low quality in my opinion. The metal is thin and there is no clamp on the middle joint to hold it in position. If it moves around too much, the only option is to try and tighten the pivot screws, but that would make any future adjustments more difficult. The hook itself is just plastic, so don’t expect it to hold a lot of weight.Overall though, despite some of the quality issues, this is a well thought out kit that can serve multiple use cases.
