KEEP THIS U/V STERILIZER COMPLETELY OUT OF THE VIEW OF YOUR FISH â IT WILL KILL THEM
This light works great. The water in my tank is crystal clear and has remained that way, with very little growth on items within my tank. However, I purchased the 5 watt version, which probably wonât be enough once I start adding fish into my tank. My tank is 120 gallons and has duel overflows that are drilled out at their bottoms for filtration lines. The overflows are black in nature, so theyâre provide the perfect location for stuff such as these lights along with my tankâs heaters.Itâs very apparent that several people in here placed these lights directly inside their tanks, resulting in DEAD FISH. Sorry to see that, but apparently some people have trouble with following directions. These lights WILL KILL your fish if any part of the lighting manages to be seen by your fish. KEEP THESE LIGHTS OUT OF THE SIGHT OF YOUR FISH and other pets. As my system uses canister filters, Iâve placed one in each of my overflow boxes. They get plenty of water flowing past them in that location. As thereâs a slight reflection from the light that can be seen from the inside of the tank, Iâll be blacking out the entire end of the tank thatâs used to run airlines, power cables, and my skimmer, as I donât want any of that to be seen from inside the tank itself.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Not well made breaks in a few days.
It worked for a while but stoped working within a few days. The timer now just flickers. I tried unplugging and resetting it and it tried to start and then cant. Itâs like a fluorescent light with a bad ballast. Itâs a piece of junk. Donât waste the money.

2 days and this is the progress!I was VERY SKEPTICAL if this was going to work for my tank but WOW it sure did! I went ahead and bought new filters for the tank I plan to change them on day 3 after the light turns off and I do a water change . I did 12 hours straight of the light on for the 2 days .

Greatest little light
This little uv light is worth every penny. Placed in filter and made a small notch with a file for the power cable. Set it to 6hrs a day and all algae was gone in 4 week in my 20gl long tank. This will be part off my aquarium setups from now on !!

My fish tank never got 100% clear no matter what I did.Dropped one of these into my filter bin and after a couple of days it made the water crystal clear.From what I understand the fish or people should not be directly exposed to the light.Definitely works.

Small, power efficient and it’s working 🙂 will keep you updated on the long term …FYI a lot of these UV lights aren’t safe for fish/animals to look at, so keep that in mind–it should be in an enclosed container, or away from direct animal view. Comes w/a “sponge filter” for this reason. Just an FYI – in case you aren’t familiar w/these UV lights.
Added to the filter for our little duck pond, it’s working great–even after just 2 days the water is a lot less stinky.

This is a piece of crap. Lasted only 6 hours before not working. Would not buy at all
