Horrible experience with this bulb. Almost immediately upon screwing in bulb and turning on the entire house smelled AWFUL – hot electrical burning smell. Thinking maybe the bulb needed to burn something off we tried to give it benefit of the doubt. 15 min later the smell had only intensified and wasnât getting better. Unplugged light and let it cool – as bulb cooled you could hear popping sounds. Once we were able to unscrew bulb the one side had turned brown and started to burn/melt. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL!Yes the buib and lamp base we had it in were compatible and we never had an issue with another brand deep heat light so we will be going back to the other brand. Scary to think it probably would have caught on fire.
