The All-You-Can-Eat Buffet⦠But in Slow Motion ð´ðð
I got these hay nets for my goats and theyâve been a total game-changer. Instead of inhaling their hay in 5 minutes flat (and then giving me the âwhereâs more?â look), the 2.36″x2.36″ mesh holes make them slow down and actually enjoy their meal. My hay waste has gone way down, and the animals seem calmer since theyâre busy munching throughout the day.The 40â length is a generous sizeâit holds plenty for goats or sheep, and Iâd say itâs perfectly fine for horses too if youâre not stuffing it with an entire bale. The material feels strong and durable, and the knots hold up well even with some pretty aggressive tugging.Pros:â Slows down eating = less waste, happier animals.â Generous size (40â holds a lot of hay).â Durable netting that stands up to pulling and pawing.â Easy to hang in stalls, trailers, or pasture fencing.â Great value since you get 2 in a pack.Cons:â ï¸ Mesh holes may still be a bit big for smaller animals (tiny goats can sometimes sneak faster bites).â ï¸ Filling the bag takes a little patience until you get the hang of it.Final Verdict:If youâre tired of hay waste and animals speed-eating like itâs a contest, these nets are the perfect fix. Theyâre durable, easy to use, and save you money on hay. My goats say thank you⦠although Iâm pretty sure they miss the âfast foodâ lifestyle. ð

Not as expected
These hay nets are just not what was expected from reading its description. The nets are described as slow feeders but the mesh is too large to feed slowly. The mesh looks like regular hay bag nets. Then thereâs the opening. It does not have straps like other hay nets. The straps & the opening are more like a shopping bag design. It will hold a flake of hay but itâs not that easy to get the flake in without it breaking apart. These hay bags will do in a pinch but will not be a usual bag to use.

Very thin material
These are made of extremely thin cord. Very lightweight . I think they will tear up easily. They will hold at least a flake of hay. The ends are made so that you can easily put your hay in. I do not expect them to last a long time.

Keeps Hay Off the Ground
We got this to keep our horses hay off the ground. Holds 2 flakes well. I though it might be a bit small at first, but it could hold up to three flakes which works for my horse. He is a bit annoyed as he can’t eat as fast, but he easily got used to it. The nets are strong and hopefully will last a while. I feel the price for the two nets is reasonable. Overall a decent hay net for the price.

Great feeder for goats
I have tried my different ways of feeding goats hay. Using a slow feed hay net was a last resort because I didn’t think they would work with my goats. The order arrived quickly, and I immediately filled them with grass hay. It was a little difficult because of the length of the grass but to my surprise everything stayed in the net. When they are fully extended with hay, they are light and easy to carry. I got these for two goats that waste more hay than they eat. When I returned the next morning one net was empty and the second half full. There was some hay on the ground but not too much waste. Once hay hits the ground the goats will not eat it. The construction of the nets is sturdy, and I don’t believe the goats can destroy them. I was concerned that the goats horns could get caught in the net. I checked on them while they ate and there wasn’t a problem. Slow feeding is an excellent way to feed livestock. I think these nets will be a good solution for my goats. Good price too.

Small!
These bags are mad of decent cord and well knotted. However, they aren’t 40″ long. The actually usable portion of the bags is just over 28″. Even including the handle part, they are only a bit over 35″. I can’t fit a full flake of hay inside without tearing it apart and stuffing it in bit by bit. Maybe they will work for small livestock. I would not recommend them for a full-sized horse.

Really nice and tough hay nets!
I ordered these hay nets for my horse trailer and they are perfect for my mares during travel time. They are slow feeders and that’s exactly what my mare is in need of. The net itself is made of quality mesh material. It’s nice and tough. It stretches and it hold alot of hay without any issues. The tops of the hay nets are nicely braided for strength. It’s easy to stuff with my mare’s preferred hay and it holds alot.It is on the larger size and I appreciate that because my mare is a draft horse and she needs alot of feed just to keep her happy. So far they have helpd up to my mares and I highly recommend. They are perfect for traveling, at home, etc. Really nice and tough material.
