uv light for pond
This product has a problem of leaking because the hose connections are frail and easy to break. Replaced those with pump hose adapters I had, and problem solved. Works great now pond is clearing up after a couple of days.

Crappy Electrical Components
The light “fixture” is well made. The water seals are cheap, the mount is a joke, the ballast is junk, the UV light is cheap. I through away the mount and made my own. The ballast burnt out the first week. But I like the stainless steel “fixture”, so I will keep it. I order a Polaris ballast EB-1024 UV. I would have bought a Polaris system, but they are too big and I didn’t like their water fittings. So wish me luck.

High quality, sturdy, and good looking
When I received it, I was impressed with the weight and heft of the light. Fitting screw on tight and satisfying. No leaks, easy to clamp hoses on the included barbs.

I had a fluval uv on my tank and it stopped working after one year. The bulb is not replaceable where this one is.

Well sealed unit
I use these in a cold plunge, and even though I have the power shut off before I get in, Iâm still weary of how well these are sealed while theyâre running. This one has several âlayersâ of protection, is very well built, and the included mounting hardware is slick. I do wish theyâd include fittings that werenât plastic, I changed mine out to brass, but for most applications maybe the plastic would be alright.

Works but had been used
The sterilizer works as expected and seems to be well made.The only issue is that at least part of the item has been used. The cord’s were not factory wrapped and one side of the power supply the cord was not secured. There was salt residue inside the plastic hose fittings. The stainless steel tube did not appear to have been used, as well as the bulb didn’t appear to be used. Not a deal breaker but should not have been listed as a new item. The original box also had new tape over the old.

Solid build… looks classy industrial
This SS unit looks and feels impressive. Easy to assemble when following the simple instructions provided. Fits my tubing, and the clear plastic inlet/outlets are study. Clamps hold the unit well. UV light visible through the clear plastic adapters. Very pleased with this unit, and will toss all of the various plastic in-tank units I’ve used before buying this one.

Should have known better. Would give it a zero but not one of my options. Rather than buy a light included in the filter, decided to go separately. The unit arrived, easy to install, looked pretty with its bright chrome case. After 1-1/2 months, noticed the light was not on. Purchased and installed a new bulb, guess what. No light. So what do I have. A nice looking chrome cylinder that does not do what it is suppose to do. Figure I will put it on the fireplace mantle in our great room — will be a nice talking point when we have visitors. Bottom line — do not purchase unless you are willing to part with $90.00 in your wallet.
