Decent but need an upgrade eventually
Decent for the price, the only thing is itâs not tall enough to fit hamster wheels or add 6 inches of bedding. Also, the front âglassâ moves back in forth so need to reinforce with something.Pretty easy to put together. Would give it four stars but the front is so flimsy.

Damaged part
The enclosure itself was sturdy and went together well. But ….. the acrylic panels for the front were both broken. I don’t know how this could have happened in shipping, since they were well protected. I have to assume this happened in packaging at the factory. Being used for a pet mouse, I couldn’t stand much of an opening. Fortunately, I was able to use the smaller one which was correct for this cage. This item would have easily rated 5 stars except for the damage. I attempted to contact the seller to give them the opportunity to correct this before leaving feedback. But Amazon makes this virtually impossible. We had already arranged to pick up the pet. Or I would have returned it.

Spacious
I bought two of these for 50% off making them around $75 a piece. At that price point and the size (48×20) thereâs not much to complain about.Pros:-very easy to assemble, takes less than 30 minutes. I do recommend getting someone to help you hold the pieces together, especially the first two side pieces. Instructions are clear and very easy to understand. Holes are pre-drilled and align nicely. With a power drill you can make light work of this but it comes with a screw driver and itâs perfectly fine to screw in by hand.- very large for the price point. Iâm using them for hamsters and it has so much room for them to run around. Itâs big enough to fit my niteangel 12in wheel and the stand and easily have 8 inches of bedding.-Beautiful to look at, quality of âwoodâ is nice-the style of the cage will make spot cleaning easy. I do recommend getting caulking tape to seal the acrylic at the bottom.Cons:-The entire front panel is just acrylic that slides into slots. If you plan on setting this on the floor and have hyperactive dogs or cats, this isnât the cage for you. One hard slam into it and it will snap in half. I donât recommend putting an animal that can climb or push against the acrylic. I think itâll work fine for small lizards or rodents. It should function fine with larger pets if you have this on a stands.-the top acrylic is pre-installed which is great.. until you want to take off the plastic covering it. I tried to save time by pulling up a corner and snapped a piece off and had to glue it back on. Easy fix but now it has a cosmetic issue. Iâm not too worried about it though.-the metal locking hardware is garbage, but thankfully they also give you a second option which isnât as pretty but it functions exactly as it should.

cheap but disappointing, an OK alternative to the more expensive brands
giving this 3 stars to be generous, the ventilation is horrible with the two side “vents” being smaller than my hand. the acrylic board at the bottom is not cut to size accurately at all, theres about an inch gap that i will have to think of how to waterproof. there is no tape or sealant that comes with the cage, so i would recommend using pet-safe caulking/etc to secure the bottom board- however i will only be able to do this for 3 sides as its not the right size

Full assembly required
Full assembly is required for this enclosure. Itâs not hard to do and the screws go in very easily. No need for a power driver unless you really want to. Instructions are included but itâs intuitive. The front is large and crystal clear which makes for an excellent viewing experience.I am only using this as a bonding , enrichment enclosure. I donât think itâs big enough otherwise. The materials are hefty enough for my use but if you have a critter that chews (looking at you, gerbils) then this isnât the right enclosure for you. I think the materials are average. They are acceptable. Certainly sturdy enough for the need. I wouldnât say that the quality and price point match. I would also appreciate even more air holes than the ones provided. You could drill more if you wanted. Because itâs just an enrichment cage for me, I leave the top open to give treats and pet my hamster.

Bigger than expected but Nice!!!
This hamster cage is more of a hamster paradise – super large lots of room and amazing. Durable, easy to assemble and easy to use. Mine will be housing mice though…. Cannot wait to try it out now that it’s together.
