Do not buy! I am going back to Rescue brand traps!
I thought great, this product has larger capacity for flies and buying 8 units at once was a good savings, but in the end it is a waste of money. I got 8 traps on August 8th and immediately put two up to test them outâ¦.. I was replacing Rescue brand disposable fly traps that fill up very quicklyâ¦. So I wanted a larger capacityâ¦. Sucker me!Both of the new traps have not had any capture of insects whatsoever as of today, twelve days after hanging. I decided after day three to hold off on putting up the other six traps due to the poor performance of the first two traps.In contrast, the Rescue traps would have flies within three to four hoursâ¦.. plus the Rescue traps had a vile odor to attract themâ¦.. these new traps do not smell at allâ¦.. I suspect the lures are just not potentâ¦. The lure arrives stuck in the top of the trap so you have to wiggle it free so it drops down into the trap and then add water to the fill line.The traps come with wires to insert and suspend. I have black garden s hooks that I use instead so it makes it easier to hang and move the traps with one end through the plastic top of the trap and the other end of the s able to go over a branch. Well today after checking both traps with no results still, I opted to move them to slightly different locations although where they were the prior Rescue traps were highly successful, see attached photos of the Rescue traps in action.Lifting the s hook off the branch is easy for moving the trap, but the second trap as I lifted it off the branch exploded from the weight of the water in the trap, such that the plastic top came off and the trap fell down and sprayed solution everywhereâ¦. As I said earlier, these traps have no smell to them, so I was thankful for that so I wouldnât have to deal with a stench on my hands, but otherwise there was a totally wasted trap on the ground that could not be repaired. So between flimsy construction and ineffective lures this are not worth the moneyâ¦.. so besides two wasted traps now I have six brand new traps as well that will just be a waste of my time to set up and monitor as well as the dollars spent.I am one very unhappy purchaser of these trapsâ¦.. the Rescue brand are worth every penny and even putting up with the horrible smell when you see how many flies and beetles it attracts!!!!!!!Sure would like to know if the company would supply effective replacement lures for the traps, and I could not find on the trap a date of manufacture to determine if these were just very old, stale trapsâ¦.. regardless, they just donât work!

It WORKS!
Holy cow, I am so surprised at how well this works! Flies are such a nuisance when you’re trying to enjoy the nice weather, and flies really love it when we use our pellet smoker (which is often). We filled up a bag with water to the fill line and hung it up on the far end our back patio to keep flies away from our smoker and sliding door and put this to the test.At first we didn’t think it was working, and then after a few days, we saw lots of flies in the bag! Each day we would see more and more flies. After about a week or 10 days, we could tell that all of the water evaporated but there were still tons of flies crawling around the bag. We took it down to inspect it, and there were nearly 2-3 inches of dead flies in the bottom of the bag. **please excuse me while I dry heave**We quickly replaced the bag with another, and while getting it set up, the yellow top/filter thing came apart when we filled the bag with water. That was concerning since we hang this up 8-9 feet in the air and it’s full of stinky fly-bait water, so just be careful. Thankfully, we had an 8 pack.The traditional sticky fly traps are ugly and gross, and while this one isn’t winning any aesthetic awards, it works and catches a lot of flies. I highly recommend it.

Literally repels flies rather than attracting flies
Warning: do not purchase this product. It does not work. I have had multiple outdoor fly catchers and this one doesnât even attract the flies to the solution. I literally can hang out at competitors bag and within two weeks. I have a full bag full of flies. This one doesnât even attract wise. I took a picture just so people could see what I mean this bag has been out for a week and a half as you can see one fly and a Knapp has managed to find it. Meanwhile, my compost pile has more flies on it than the bag does. Do not I repeat waste your money that was my mistake. Looking for a better deal. These people should not have their product on Amazon. Theyâre asking me to return the fly traps. Iâm wondering if theyâd like me to return the one that has the water in its goop and all sadly I had to give this product a star. If I had my choice, it wouldnât even receive a star..

I bought another brand of this same thing at my local hardware store and it worked really well so I went on Amazon to order some more and I saw these looked the same and were a good price so I ordered them. They give you a zip tie with it so itâs easy to hang, which is nice because the ones I previously purchased didnât come with one and I had to get a string to hang it up. I will warn you it is stinky but the stink will go away after a couple days. I would recommend putting it far from your house so you donât have to smell it!I ended up returning these because the zip tie was broken and when I went to hang it from a tree it fell and the bag broke. I would buy them again to try them out one more time since they are such a good price compared to others. Also it may have just been the ones I got but the top trap part was stuck and hard to open. I actually ended up pulling the contraption part out at first on accident because it was stuck but was able to put it back together.

Good quality and ease to set-up!
This help alot in my backyard. It has solve the problem of bee. 1000 flys might be some flys now but the most 3 flying around! Definitely recommended 100%. Ease to set-up!

Takes some time to work but they definitely catch flies. Also caught a lot of horseflies. Dont leave the bag out too long though because baby flies will come out somehow and start swarming. Doesnt kill larvae

I usually donât take the time to write reviews but these fly traps do literally nothing. I would have been better off throwing my money in the garbage than wasting time hanging these useless traps. After 2.5 weeks of having 3 different traps up and not catching once single fly. I decided to go to my local Canadian Tire and buy a few of theirs. Put it up next to one of these useless traps and bam! All these flies caught in one day.(The one single fly shown in the video in this trap was caught after hanging the good fly trap up next to it.)
