These pieces of pet cage debris shield are made of either plastic or a form of acryllic. They are see-through, but they will arrive with a thin layer of protective film on each side. This is easy to remove. Just find the edge and peel it off, then discard.The pieces are all the same size and shape, etc. They are rather thin, but that doesn’t matter much since these are just debris shields and not load bearing structures of the cage. Every piece has 5 pre-cut holes spaced out along the top and bottom edge. This should be enough holes, with good enough spacing, to secure the shields in place, if the users do so with appropriate materials.These shields are also very flexible, which is actually a lot better than being stiff and only a little flexible. As they are currently, chances are almost zero that they would crack, split, or break if used normally and for thier intended purpose. Do be aware, though, that they do have somewhat of a rough edge. If users brushed up against it too quickly, or with too much force, they will likely be scraped. While not serious by itself, it still don’t feel great, and open wounds next to pet cages is not the best idea.There is a packet of zip ties included for installing these shields to the cage. They have a reasonable length and thickness. They seem to be tough enough for this particular task, if used correctly and as intended. Don’t go pulling on the shields alot after installation, for whatever reason someone might do that, and it should hold just fine.For the rough edges and corners, 4 out of 5 stars. These shields are of a quality that’s actually fairly good for an item with this purpose. I’m glad to have come across it for my guinea pigs, and I do recommend this item for small pet cages.

Works but kind of a pain
Rats are adorable, but they are messy little critters. They absolutely love tossing things out of their cage and attempting distance peeing contests (so much eww). These little plastic things were helpful in putting the kibosh on the rat games. However, they didn’t fit all nice and tidy, so I had to cut them to size, which often meant cutting off the little holes that make it easier to attach to the cage. So I was forced to use packing tape. A lot of packing tape. and since I had to tape them together, it made it far more difficult to remove them for cleaning so they were rather gross in a short amount of time. I ended up throwing most of them out when I got rid of the old cage. The few I kept will hopefully be much more helpful on the new cage.

Clear Cage Guard
Perfect way to add barrier to side of cage without obstructing the view. Easily attaches to cage with zip-ties (included) and has lots of holes for secure fit. Panels are 13.8″ x 4.7″ and can be cut to size if needed. Great price for 12-pieces (and 120 ties).

Excellent! Takes a bit of fiddling, but worth it
Excellent! If you keep small animals who eat hay, you know that it gets all over if don’t take some action. In my experience, even the best containment systems are only sufficient to *reduce* the hay that gets everywhere.With that as the goal (hay reduction, not elimination) these panels are terrific! They are a bit of a project to attach to a wire cage. And of course, they are designed to work with the (included) zip ties. They would not attach to a tarp or a hard sided cage/hutch. That means you are living with some zip ties affecting your aesthetic, but maybe it’s better than the barn floor look?The video is of my kid cutting one of the panels. Even a kid can get through them! That said, they are not flimsy (and it was a bit of effort for the kid.) They are definitely clear when you take the plastic film off. That’s nice because of course, part of the point of a pet is to watch their cute antics.I tried two different sizes of these cage guards and they are the exact same in terms of quality. The difference is size and the quantity per package.

This pack contains 12 cage side liners, each measuring 13.8 x 4.7 inches. They are made of strong, flexible, clear pvc plastic. I got them for my rabbitâs cage to prevent urine leakage and hay from falling out the sides allowing for easier clean up. They are easily cut to adjust for different cage sizes and easy to attach using the included ties. Nice and helpful product.

Ok, aus einem Kleintierstall können durchaus mal Heu, Stroh & Co. herausfallen. Es soll auch passieren, dass die kleinen Nager aus dem Käfig rauspullern (unser Kaninchen benutzt zum Glück sehr zuverlässig ihre Toilette). Dagegen helfen diese kleinen, praktischen Plastikschilde, die man je nach Bedarf sehr einfach mit Hilfe der beiliegenden Kabelbinder (die wir gerne auch in durchsichtig statt Weià gehabt hätten â nur so als Tipp an den Herstellerâ¦) an den Käfigstreben fixieren kann. Wenn man sie ohne Lücken aneinander setzt, helfen sie wirklich gut, den Bereich rund um den Käfig deutlich sauberer zu halten. Sehr gut!

Great for putting around hamster cage to prevent escaping, easy to use and easy to cut down to size. Comes with film on both sides which can be fiddly to get off but once off no issues at all.
