Rinse Before First Using
Rinse new filter cartridge under room-temperature water to remove any dust. Then place new filter cartridge into filter by aligning key slot. Gently press filter cartridge into place.

Works as designed, a bit thinner than name brand
Aquarium filter media is one of the most overpriced items on the planet. These filter cartridges do the job well. They aren’t as thick as the name-brand cartridges, but for the price, they can’t be beat.

same issue as oem filters
these have the same issue as stock marineland filters they clog to easily, first one i put in clogged within 5 hours, had to rinse it off and put it back in it keeps lasting shorter and shorter between rinses, was hoping that some aftermarket filters would have fixed this issue but sadly no,

Not 4 me
These come wrapped individually which is nice so charcoal is not loose inside packaging. They have 2 types materials charcoal and I believe perlite (looks like catlitter) which was not a problem since I always rinse before use…my issue were the fiber material is TOO FINE and “clogged ” up within a day. I did brush this KAKA off to reuse the filter, but I don’t want to do that! It’s gross and not why I buy fish filters, to brush off and reuse. If u have pristine aquarium water u may like.
