The best for brushing-reluctant cats!
I have other brushes for varying needs, but this comb is the one my cats love. Even the ones that normally run away love being combed with it. And it really gets the tangles out of my elder cats short hair. He doesn’t mind it one bit. It is also comfortable to use and easy to clean hair from quickly to keep the grooming going. Seriously just buy one for every room so you and your cats can enjoy it everywhere. It’s that good!

Perfect for getting cats to like brushing.
Perfect for getting cats to like brushing. Some of my cats act like I’m coming at them with a knife when I approach holding a brush. I can hold it in a way that they don’t think I’m coming at them with an object in my hand. The bristles are plastic and are flexible, so it feels like you’re gently giving them scratches without it being uncomfortable. Most rub on the brush and raise their backs into the brush as I’m using it. They’re purring, circling and enjoying the attention. I was able to pick up the slicker brush and brush them after using this for a little while. It takes out more loose hair than I would have expected for it’s design. It only removes loose hair in the upper layers, it doesn’t detangle or deshed, so you will still need a slicker brush for deep brushing. I have long and short haired cats, and one Devon Rex (with a single very short coat), and they all enjoyed it. I’m an RVT and I think this would be a good thing to have at the vet to pet nervous kitties with it to help them relax. It’s overpriced in my opinion (shouldn’t be more than $5), but getting a nervous cat to accept brushing is worth paying a little more.

It actually works
At first it didn’t seem to do anything. But the cats love being combed with it. Thus morning I gave it another try and it was great. Lots of hair. Will keep using! Hand grib is great, light weight, easy to use

Gentle yet effective!
This couldn’t be better. This allows me to gently remove the snarled hair mats – which is hard with the other brushes etc. And most importantly, my 12 year old cat seems to sorts like it when I use it. This is a first! Score!

Worked well. My beautiful long hair cat loved to be groomed with this. Very safe and didnât pull on her fur and hurt her like others in the past. Highly recommend this product

It has its place
imo this is not a very good deshedding tool. I used it on my longhaired cat who hasn’t been brushed in a while because I lost her brush, and it just does not pull much fluff off of her or seem to have that softening effect on her that I would expect a good deshedding tool to have.On the other hand, it’s very gentle on her and she fell in love with it immediately and demanded I keep using it. So, like, maybe it’s not efficient per brush stroke, but if I’m able to use it on her more, maybe that evens out or even is a net gain.

My cat loves this and our other brush is much larger, almost too large for a cat. She loves this one for around her face, and it grabs a fair amount of hair and is easy to clean.

It doesn’t look like it would be effective, but the results tell a different story
I originally bought this for my older long-haired cat who was no longer properly grooming and became matted, thinking it would be more tolerable than other brushes on the market because of the wider and longer prongs, as he quickly rejected being brushed by all other efforts. This one he did find comfort with and we had success with it. He is no longer with me, sadly, but 2 other cats that have shorter hair have proven that it’s great for them too. My Jasper is at his peak shedding point right now, and my Monarch had his a couple months ago~ brothers, but very different fur types. I started brushing Jasper today, and got a lot of fur off in just a couple minutes before Monarch came charging in after hearing the sound of the brushing and demanding it be his turn. Got a good amount of fur off him too in a couple minutes despite it not being his peak shedding time. They love it, and I love it too. And I can say, with having had 3 cats with very different types of fur, this has been my go-to brush for all of them, and they have all approved with purrs. This party-mix gentleman was once a lanky, short-haired stray desperate for attention. Now he has a triple coat dense enough to make yarn with, and the temperament to match the extremely hot and humid climate of the tropical country we live in.Brushing is often met with bites and grumpy swatting because of how often his fur gets tangled or matted. His fur gets that way because he doesnât allow brushing. As you can imagine, this is a chicken and egg sort of problem.Well, as the photos and videos will demonstrate, this particular one has been well-received. This is one brush that not have to be rehomed to a less finicky (or less furry) cat, so Iâm well pleased.5/5. Just wish it came in other colours and bristle lengths + shapes!
